Since the news broke back in April of a Gentle
Giant Tie Fighter Mini Bust, collectors have been wondering
what the variant, or chase, "Pilot Black Three Chase" would
look like. Well thanks to a Gentle Giant Collectors and Yodasnews
anonymous reader, we can now share with you the first images
of the chase version! We also did some side by side comparisons
with the regular version! Check them out below and click any

New
Wave of Titanium Vehicles Found!
Yodasnews.com reader e1jnky reports in:
I came across a new wave of Titanium vehicles
that I was not even aware was being released. The entire
wave consists of re-painted ships from previous releases,
but they are all primarily Clone Wars related. The packaging
has changed slightly as well with the addition of a silver
sticker sporting the new Blue & White Star Wars logo.
Most of them are just slight repaints like
the AT-OT & AT-AP, but the AAT is an entirely new paint
scheme. The Vulture Droid & Jedi Star Fighter have been
given a new paint scheme that makes them look more like the
animation in the cartoon.
Here is a list of the ships I found in this
new wave: AT-OT, AT-AP, AT-TE, ARC-170, REPUBLIC GUNSHIP,
VULTURE DROID, TRADE FEDERATION AAT & a Green JEDI STARFIGHTER
(with Hyperspace Ring).
I have included pics of the ships I picked up and a few
of the Jedi star fighter that a fellow collector snagged.
Thanks E1Jnky, click any of the pictures below to see the
full size images!

Star
Wars: The Art of Ralph McQuarrie CJ Exclusvie!
Dreams and Visions Press is pleased to announce
their latest release, a limited edition produced exclusively
for Star Wars Celebration Japan which will be held at the
Makuhari-Messe in Chiba, near Tokyo, July 19-21, 2008.
Star Wars: The Art of Ralph McQuarrie is a
168 page, full color oversize paperback created to commemorate
the 30th anniversary of Star Wars in Japan. Authors Stan
Stice and John David Scoleri have compiled a book that contains
nearly all of Ralph's Star Wars art from their critically
acclaimed The Art of Ralph McQuarrie, along with dozens of
newly discovered, never before published production pieces
from Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the
Jedi.
The Art of Ralph McQuarrie made it's debut
at Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles in May 2007. "We
were thrilled at the reception the book received. While we
were happy to finally make so much of Ralph's artwork available
to his fans, certain limitations resulted in several of Ralph's
most famous and recognizable Star Wars paintings not making
the final cut," Scoleri said. A veteran of all 5 previous
Star Wars Celebrations, Stice noted, "We saw the opportunity
to do something special for Ralph's Japanese fans while celebrating
the 30th anniversary of Star Wars in Japan. By designing
a book that focused exclusively on Ralph's Star Wars art,
we were able to not only carry over the majority of the Star
Wars art from the original volume, but add in many of the
pieces we didn't originally have the space for."
For the last four years we have been adding awesome collections
to our member
collection page and today we debut a new concept in sharing
your collection, with a video! If you have a digital camera
you probably have a feature to record video, and if not there
are a ton of new low cost devices on the market that
make file sharing videos easy as click and save.
To kick off this feature, Yoda027 (our admin), shares with
everyone his collection room video. Click
here or the play button below to check out his collection
room video and if you want your collection added feel free
to send your pictures
or a link to your video to us and we will add it to our member
collection page and share your collection with out readers!

Spotlight #16: Star Wars Film Reel!
Today's auction comes in from Gary in CA:
"I'm not 100% sure exactly what this is, but it
appears to be a film reel from Episode 1 titled R-6. I
think it is either a trailer or maybe the 6th reel from
the film but that seems off to me. It's the first I have
seen on ebay so I sent it in. Love the site, Gary"
Thanks Gary, I wish we could give you more information but
we asked around and are not sure exactly what is on the reel,
if any readers out there know, please write it or call and
let us know!
And If you see something on e-bay that you
think we should feature, click

Jewell and the team from Gentle Giant Ltd. was kind enough
to answer a ton of questions (over 30) we had about a broad
spectrum of products, SDCC and more! Some of the questions
collectors had were:
Will we see
more on the Star Wars scaled helmet line at SDCC?
Are there any
more convention exclusives for this year planned?
Will GG be acquiring
any new licenses. If YES, will any of them be shown at
SDCC?
Any plans of
a new Boba Fett Mini Bust?
Has GG put further
consideration into allowing or creating a fan's choice
poll to let people select which mini bust/statue is produced
next?
All those questions, as well as all the others can be read

Star
Wars Action News Update
This week, the Star Wars Action News hosts are seeing red.
They're red hopping mad, you might even say. Why? Because
the new exclusive TIE Fighter "has got some red on ya" (to
quote Shaun of the Dead). Yes, someone graffitied a big red
garish Rebel symbol on the latest "big wing" TIE
Fighter re-release, and they jacked up the price too, $53
at Entertainment Earth. Is this too much for the 4th release
of this mold? Have we now got more TIE Fighters than the
compliment of a Super Star Destroyer? Find out on this week's
show!
We also discuss this week how the new Wal Mart exclusive
Droid Factory figures and Comic Book two packs are hitting
shelves, with voice mail reports from listeners. We review
the new collectible 10 volume hardcover Star Wars book collection
from Dark Horse, and we discuss how we think Titan magazine's
business model is somewhat flawed, punishing the good customers
and rewarding the disloyal.
With a UK segment, a Hasbro Q&A, and more, it's all
on this week's Star Wars Action News!
Another Blister/Gentle Giant exclusive is on
the way. Say Hello to the new Bronzed up Boba Fett Classics
Bust limited at just 300 pieces and is priced at 5500 Yen (About
$51 USD). No word yet on if these will be offered to the PGM,
as of now Celebration Japan is the only place to pick this
up. Check it out below:

Empire Day is a galaxy-wide celebration that marks the
Emperor's rise to power and founding of the Galactic Empire.
This year's event, beginning on June 24, also commemorates
an amazing five years of Star Wars Galaxies with in-game
events for everyone to support their faction and join in
the celebration!
Empire Day is celebrated throughout Imperial-controlled
space to commemorate the creation of the Galactic Empire. The
actual "day" of this holiday is marked according
to Imperial Center time, but celebrations can last days
or weeks depending on culture and location.
Due to the vast and varied worlds controlled by the Empire,
beings on many worlds celebrate in different ways. Some
just wish to be near the Emperor himself, though they don't
expect to see him. Others simply gather with friends and
kin and have private celebrations or other contests, marking
the day with festivities and fun.
This year loyal citizens of the Empire can choose to
pay homage to an imposing statue of the Emperor in the
city of Theed . This commanding figure rests near the steps
of the royal palace and at its base a small army of stormtroopers
stands at attention. The Imperial Celebration Organizer,
who can also be found in the shadow of the statue, offers
Imperial-issued rations for sale to mark the occasion.
Order 66 Cookies increase movement and grant an experience
bonus; these crunchy cookies have a delightful aftertaste.
Imperials also enjoy the Gracious Government Mix during
Empire Day celebrations. These delicious chocolates increase
damage and reduce action cost.
The Organizer is highly trained to sniff out Rebels in
disguise and does not sell his wares to any Rebellion sympathizers.
These treats will disappear fifty minutes after purchase,
so consume them quickly.
Darth Vader and a legion of Dark Troopers are also descending
on Theed during the celebration. Citizens of the Empire
can catch a glimpse of the Dark Lord once an hour as he
addresses the citizens congregating at the steps.
Each hour, Darth Vader recognizes one lucky Imperial
citizen for his or her contribution to the Empire. Pay
your respects if you are called upon and the Empire will
recognize your deeds in front of the gathered crowd!

LEGO
Death Star Video!
A few days ago we showed you images of the Massive new LEGO
set and now, from YouTube user Nannan1026, there is a video
to go with it. Check it out below:
Ever since the Nintendo Wii was announced, gamers have
dreamed of being able to swing the remote as if it were
a lightsaber. And now that dream has finally come true,
as Krome Studios is set to create a Wii-exclusive title
based on the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated
film that will focus on lightsaber battles.
"Clone Wars for the Wii is all about lightsaber
dueling," producer Ken Fox told IGN. "It's about
swinging your Wii remote like a Lightsaber and recreating
what we know will be classic Lightsaber battles from the
movie and the show." The lightsaber will be controlled
via Wii remote movements, while player movement will be
handled by the analog stick on the nunchuk and other actions,
such as force powers, can be performed through button presses.
But despite the heavy emphasis on lightsaber combat,
due to the Wii's technical limitations, the action won't
be quite one-to-one. "I wouldn't describe what we're
doing as one-to-one in the way that you might picture," Fox
explained, "but we really tried to make it feel like
you get to swing your Lightsaber 'manually'. In short,
it feels like the most natural and convincing sword type
experience I've had on the Wii. And on top of that, it's
not just a sword, it's a lightsaber."
In addition to the story mode, the game will also have
a strong multiplayer component, which allows players to
pick their favorite characters and duel away. Star Wars:
The Clone Wars for the Wii is expected to ship later this
year.
Enter the house of holy on Smoke Break's tour of the
Church of the Jedi. May the force be with you...

Brian's
Toys News Update!
Great new Indiana Jones items have arrived, such as the
Disney Exclusive Mickey Mouse as Indiana Jones figure and
the Last Crusade 3 3/4" figure set. For Star Wars,
we have the new wave of Expanded Universe exclusives available
along with Gentle Giant Han Solo and Emperor Animated Maquettes.
Next week we will be attending Wizard World Chicago, so
stay tune for next weeks newsletter to find out our booth
number. We hope to see you there! In the meantime, check
out our huge inventory of collectibles (it's too bad we
can't fit it all in our trailer) at www.brianstoys.com
YN: I'm really excited about the upcoming Padme releases.
The Evolutions set looks awesome, and the updated Snowbunny
Padme is sure to be a winner in the eyes of fans everywhere!
If these Padme releases do well, do you have any more
Padmes in the holding tank? This is one character in the
Prequel Trilogy that is shown wearing more outfits than
I have pairs of underwear in my dresser at home! What I
would most specifically like to see is some kind of collector's
set or other where she could be sculpted in some various
senatorial type of outfits, since we don't have any Senator
Amidala figures to date. And being that Leia is her daughter,
I would really love to see her released with the "buns" hair
style she sports in ROTS. Do I hope too much?
H: We have said that we'd like to do one "film" Padme
a year if we can, and we do have plans for a new Queen
figure in 2009. Sorry, no senator figure just yet, but
those will be sure to come in future years. One thing about
Padme we advocate is patience, as we think it will be rewarded.
We won't be doing more Evolution-type Padme sets any time
soon, where we deliver three new figures at once, but the
basic figure model is what we're looking at to keep growing
the Padme ranks organically. Great idea on the buns....we
will look to that one down the road as well.
YN: Pictures have recently surfaced showing some of the
later 2008 figures on the new Legacy Collection packaging,
numbered GH#. What is the criteria to make it as a Greatest
Hit figure and how do they differ form the Saga Legends?
Will these 'Greatest Hits' figures be packaged in the same
case assortment as the Legacy Collection basic figures?
H: Great question. Saga Legends is designed as a kid-first
targeted line that is a solution to a need-based problem
that we can use across the world to get the best and most-in-demand
figures out there in constant availability. The idea is
that Saga Legends both complement the new Clone Wars animation
(with versions of Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, R2-D2, etc.) as
well as generally ensure that many of the most popular
Saga characters are available for kids. As with the vast
majority of the previous Saga Legends line, there will
be no changes to the figures themselves, but will just "carry
forward" in new packaging. While there will be changes
to the Legends lineup with time, the figures that we rotate
in will be the best of the best. This may include troops
like Shock Troopers, 501st, and other classic Clones that
collectors like, but these effectively hit a dual audience.
The GH or "greatest hits" figures serve the
similar purpose of adding core character strength to the
Legacy/Droid Factory lineup, but here we have looked to
figures that kids would also be interested in, but could
also still have some collector demand as well (Felucia
Troopers, TFU Vader, etc.), but ultimately will not be
available all year like Saga Legends.
YN: Will the packaged "Build A Droid" droid
parts be completely random, or will each figure come with
a specific part?
H: Each figure will come with a Droid Factory part that
is specifically assigned and there will not be random packout.
As figures carry-forward from wave to wave - for instance
the Vader figure with the 3-part helmet from Wave 1, which
will be in multiple future waves - the droid part will
change to the new wave's droid part (on the surface, this
could look random with Vader eventually available with
several different parts over time, but it is all scripted
out). This means that the droids will only "exist" in
the wave they ship in (i.e. R4-D6 and R7-Z0 are only available
in Wave 1, etc).
Also, to remind fans once again on the strategy, if you
just wanted to get one of each of all the droid parts to
build all the different droids available, you can just
pick up each of the new-release figures in the original
wave they ship (the "BD" series figures, BD-1,
BD-2, and so on) and skip the Greatest Hits ("GH" figures).
If you just bought every BD figure, you would get every
new-release figure and every droid part to build each droid.
The GH series will have redundant parts to the BD series
figures and completists can skip the GH series if they
choose.

It will be an edition of 750 pieces ( I know I know,
but hey, it’s better than 500 for Sidious) and will
retail for $35.00
As I am sure you are aware with the release of Roron
Corobb, we have officially wrapped up the original Clone
Wars line (fyi keep a look out for a very very special
announcement about this line in the next couple weeks).
This YODA key marks the beginning of a new line of Character
Keys for Acme, and I think you will agree that it should
be another fun line to collect.
We wanted to start this line the same way our first character
key line began, with Yoda, and as a Convention Exclusive.
The upside this time around is that it’s only 1 per
customer. And hey what’s the fun of collecting, if
there aren’t a few that are really hard to get?!
We will be putting this one up for Presale to be be picked
up at the Show, this should help alleviate the long lines
as well as the annoying Exhibitors who like to pounce on
exclusives before the regular crowd gets into the freaking
show. Try as they might, SDCC has still not figured out
a 100% fool proof method of stopping this.
We will also be releasing a small amount to non attendees
on July 24th, first Full Day of SDCC, so for all of you
not going- keep that date in mind.
And my final last little tidbit of news…. We will
be debuting another STAR WARS Character Key at the Con.

Hasbro
AT-AT comes in Hoth, Endor, and now Graffiti?
Do you think they parked their AT-AT in the wrong neighborhood
on Coruscant? The graffiti'd AT-AT will be on sale on June
25th at Christies in New York. So if you have a few dollars
to spare (think 4 figures - and no not Hasbro figures) then
bid away for this pop art piece.
Now fans of R2-KT, the pink Imperial droid with the heart
of gold, can get their own collectible "challenge" coin
and contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the charitable
organization that was so supportive to R2-KT's inspirational
namesake Katie Johnson. The commemorative coin is 1.5 inches
in diameter with antique silver and nickel finish, dual
plated with gold and soft enamel for the coloring. There
is no limit to how many coins you may purchase, and all
proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish. To pre-order your
R2-KT coin, PayPal $10.00 US (includes fees and worldwide

New from Kotobokiya comes the amazing new Star Wars bounty
hunter series! All of the hunters Darth Vader assembled
to hunt down Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon are here:
Boba Fett, Zuckuss, IG-88, Bossk, 4-LOM, and Dengar! Each
stands approximately 12 inches in scale, is highly detailed
and amazingly painted. As a bonus, each of the six bounty
hunters in the series includes a builder piece that allows
you to assemble the seventh figure in the series, Darth
Vader! Each figure features an hexagonal display base that
allows the figures to interlock in several different ways
for multiple display options. Boba Fett is in stock now
and going fast, so get on the hunt and snap these up before
they disappear!
Gigantic Japanese nerds just rigged up an R2-D2 DVD Projector
into a server monitoring system that alerts them whenever
a system is down. R2's got Nagios, a monitoring app, an
IR controller, and the ability to project what's wrong
for the people to see. The video illustrates how it works
in a dramatically geeky manner. These should be standard
issue in every server farm around the world!
You can just see where poor Hayden Christensen’s
mind goes when I bring up “Star Wars” below.
I suppose when you’re a teenager eager for a big
break the thought of talking about “Star Wars” the
rest of your life sounds just fine. But now the reality
must be hitting him as he is in fact asked EVERY SINGLE
DAY about “Star Wars by annoying people like me.
As for what he actually says in response
to my question about how he feels about the “Clone
Wars” movie set for release in August without his
voice, well he seems a little confused. As you can see
from the video he says, “I found out about it through
Sam Jackson who at one point I think was trying to get
involved but I don’t think George used anyone from
the original films.”
Au contraire, Mr. Christensen. Sam Jackson
is indeed voicing Mace Windu in the flick. Ah well, watch
for yourself and decide if Hayden’s confused, in
denial, or doesn’t care a lick.

Star
Wars Action News Update
Still frothing at the mouth for new toys, the Star Wars
Action News team gathered again this week to look at the
upcoming July releases from Hasbro. After focusing on the
vehicles last episode, this episode the group talks about
the new figures of both The Legacy Collection and The Clone
Wars toy lines. Which do the team want more, animated style
or non? Will the animated figures sell to kids? And what
is Hasbro trying to pull with sending e-mails saying figures
won't go on clearance, only to be found on clearance days
later?
Also listen to find out where to get the 16th (and final?)
Clone Wars character key (from the first Clone Wars animated
series), and to hear Kevin review and discuss another vintage
figure, one I'm sure vintage collectors will remember.
All this and more on this week's Star Wars Action News.
Trapped in the net: Fat Guy Stuck in Internet's Ken Gemberling
(right) prepares to explore a series of tubes with cybersiblings
Bit and Byte.
When hotshot programmer Ken Gemberling gets sucked into
a computer after dumping beer on its keyboard, he's transported
Tron-style into internet purgatory.
That's the premise of Adult Swim's latest after-hours
addition, Fat Guy Stuck in Internet, a 15-minute comedy
series that's riddled with sci-fi spoofing and internet
meme busting.
After landing in Fat Guy's not-quite-virtual reality,
Gemberling begins a journey down a digitized yellow brick
road in hopes of finding his way home. He's accompanied
by a strange pair of "programs," dubbed Bit and
Byte, who believe he's the "chosen one," sent
to cure their ailing planet. Hot on Gemberling's trail
is goofball bounty hunter Chains, hired by an evil CEO
who looks like a dark-cloaked Sith.

Spotlight #13: Error BobbleHead!
Spotlight #13 comes in from MasterChief007:
"Hey Yodasnews, this auction has been talked about
in message boards for the last few weeks (the seller keeps
listing it but it never sells), it's for a bobblehead that
has a Vader base on a Gamorrean body. No big deal to me
(and most people on the boards), but this person thinks
it's worth 7 grand? Pleeeeeeeeeaseee!!! I'd much rather
have some nice 12 backs!"
Thanks for sending it in MasterChief007! We were talking
about this at GGC last week and we all agreed it's a production
error and might be worth $15 to $20, but we agree with you,
for $7,000 we can find a lot better way to spend it.
Click
Here to check out this auction or the image below!

The Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
exhibit is a big force at the Science Museum in St. Paul.
More than 55,000 advance tickets have been sold, making it
the largest exhibit ever at the museum. WCCO talked with
some folks who said why it's special.
Creators of the exhibit use movie magic to show folks how
science applies to everyday things. In Star Wars, Luke Skywalker
used a landspeeder to get around the desert planet of Tatooine.
The speeder kind of works like a hovercraft. Cameron Norenberg
got to try it out. "It felt like riding in an aircraft
shuttle" said the young exhibit-goer.
C-3PO was a popular droid (robot) in the Star Wars Series.
It takes a lot to get him to move his arms and legs. Museum
goers are getting hands-on experience of what it's like to
make a droid move. "We were just trying to move one
leg at a time, but when you're walking on one leg, you have
to make sure the other one is balanced, so it's pretty difficult" said
Emerald Katz. You can even built your own droid, as Devon
Rink did.
"All you have to do is put the wheels on, then the
track, and then you download the program into it, you push
go, and then you go to different stations and tell it how
to turn and stuff" said Devon Rink.
Darth Vader is more machine than man. In the movie his
character is evil, but in the exhibit his mechanical elements
are being used to teach folks about prosthetics. "It
was pretty cool. I just like seeing the real costumes and
stuff." said Ashley Hobbs. If the costumes and gadgets
don't draw you in, maybe taking a picture with your favorite
character will.
The Star Wars Exhibit will run through August 24, 2008
at the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Invades Star Wars Weekends. Final Report!
Yodasnews.com contributor Jace reports in from
Walt Disney World! Read his final report below!
The third day of the first weekend of Stars Wars
Weekends began for me
like the previous two days—waiting in line for a fast
pass for an
autograph. Today I was very fortunate that I stood in line
with my
family member who came down with me and we each got a guaranteed
time
fast pass for Warwick Davis and then we went and stood in Daniel
Logan's line and got a guaranteed time fast pass for him as
well.
At that point I went to "Wicket's Warehouse" to
see if any of the
merchandise I've been looking for has come in yet. Unfortunately
the
shipment of Muppet-Star Wars figures had not arrived. I took
this
time to ask one of the employees about the Padme and Leia figures
that
were advertised on StarWars.com for being at Star Wars Weekends.
I
was told that these figures have yet to have arrived at Disney
but
they are hoping for the second weekend.
Since at this point I had attended most of the Star Wars Weekends
events, I took some time to attend other events at Disney's
Hollywood
Studios including "The Great Movie Ride" and eating
lunch at the "
Scifi Drive In". While walking out of one of the rides
I got to meet
Darth Taiter who was a frequent poster at the "Shadows
in the Force" message board I used to
run over at Ezboard. We took a photo together
to commemorate meeting in person.
Later I got my autographs with Daniel Logan who autographed
two of the
complimentary Star Wars Weekends headshots of himself for me.
I then
had Warwick Davis autograph one of those headshots as well
as a
picture of Wicket I found at the merchandise store.
I then broke for lunch by eating dinner at the "Brown
Derby". I had
heard a lot of great things about this restaurant and it comes
with
advanced seating pass to "Fantasmic", the evening
show at Disney's
Hollywood Studios. Well my experience at the Brown Derby was
anything
but spectacular. I took my mother for dinner there and it started
off
with me not having silverware. They then got her appetizer
wrong.
When we asked for silverware—we received a fork and knife
but no
napkin. As a treat we ordered steaks, both medium-well done.
When
our steaks arrived, my mom began to cut into hers and blood
oozed out.
They did send it back for her and cooked it more. After we
finally
got refills for our drinks I looked down and there was a puddle
of
water on table. I looked at my glass of lemonade and realized
there
was a long crack in the glass and it was leaking. So that was
our
experience at the Brown Derby LOL.
After my disastrous meal I attended the "Hyperspace Hoopla".
Like
other years it started off with Snyg and Oopla singing "Y-O-D-A" to
the beat of "YMCA". They then had Figrin D'an and
the Modal Nodes
there and like other years had a "stump the band" where
fans in
attendance were asked to name a song that the Modal Nodes would
play
and, of course, they just played the cantina song. Snyg then
yells at
the Modal Nodes and then they rock out to modern songs to the
audience's cheering.
Next at the Hoopla they had "Dancing with the Star Wars
Songs" and
this year they stated that since it's the 25th anniversary
of "Return
of the Jedi" that they would be dancing to songs from
the 80's. It
began with Chewbacca and a Jawa dancing to "Flashdance".
The Leia and
Amidala come out to "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" but
then they are
joined by Zam Wessel, a female Ewok, and a Gamorrean Guard
with long
red hair. We were then told there was a last-minute entry and
with
that the doors on the stage open and Darth Vader comes out
with
stormtroopers on either side of him and they dance to "Thriller".
As
the song ends you see Palpatine standing in the doorway doing
the
laugh that ends "Thriller". The fans were then asked
to vote via
applause for their favorite and Vader won to which he said "All
to easy."
Chewbacca was on stage and was moping over losing to Vader
in the
dancing contest and said via a translator that he wanted to
dance and
so they did the "Hyperspace Hoopla" which is a staple
of this event.
As usual it ends with stormtroopers breaking up the Hoopla
saying it
violates an Imperial ordinance to have an event this late.
As they
walk out Oopla tells Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes to rock
out.
After everyone is gone from the stage the one stormtrooper
then dances
and exited doing the moonwalk.
After the Hoopla, I attended "Fantasmic" to end
my day at Star Wars
Weekends. I will be in Disney until June 16th and will be taking
in
the sites at the Disney theme parks and then will be attending
the
second weekend of Star Wars Weekends.

Here are a few of the awesomest moments from
Captain EO, Michael Jackson's science fiction movie which played
in Disney's Epcot Center from 1986 to 1994. There are so many
incredible things in this film, from the weird squirrel that
sits on Michael's shoulder to the constantly farting elephant.
Not to mention Anjelica Huston's dominatrix Supreme Commander,
who waggles her long fingernails until Michael accepts the
punishment of 100 years in her torture dungeon. But really,
it's best to think of this George Lucas-produced film as a
lost Star Wars segment, complete with a Death Star-buzzing
sequence. Will Jackson's Captain EO show up in Clone Wars?
We can only hope.

Yodasnews.com contributor Jace reports in from
Walt Disney World! Read his second report below!
The second day of Star Wars Weekends 2008 began
with me waiting in
line outside of the park and listening to the stormtrooper
skit that
is done each morning. The stormtroopers stand on the roof of
the
entrance way to the park and do a little skit where they say
they are
going to blast someone or that they are going to call Boba
Fett to
collect a bounty on someone they see in the crowd. The skit
ends at
8:30 AM when the stormtroopers ask the fans if they want to
enter and
that's the signal that the park attendants can allow people
into the park.
Like last year, they allowed fans who arrived between 7 – 8
AM to
enter the lines for a fast pass for autographs. They are allowed
to
wait inside the park but after 8 AM no one else can join this
line.
Come 8:30 AM people can enter the park but only so far since
the park
opens officially at 9 AM. At that point more are allowed to
enter the
line for autograph fast passes. They begin issuing fast passes
at 9
AM but with the people who entered the park between 7 – 8
AM being in
the front.
On Saturday, I was fortunate enough to get a guaranteed time
fast pass
for Jeremy Bulloch while a family member waited in line and
got a
guaranteed time fast pass for Warwick Davis. While in line
for the
fast pass for Jeremy Bulloch I got to talk with other Star
Wars fans
including a fan from England who has a collecting focus of
movie
posters.
After receiving the fast passes I was fortunate enough to
meet up with
Mike, a member of the Yahoo Group "The Star Wars Fan Group".
Mike and
I attended "Behind the Force: The Clone Wars" which
plays several
times a day at each Star Wars Weekends (see report from Friday).
We then went to "Wicket's Warehouse" the merchandise
store. I was
extremely upset to hear that the Muppets-Star Wars figures
sold out!
They are hoping to get more in by next weekend but I was told
they
sold out in approximately two hours on Friday.
At 11 AM at "Wicket's Warehouse", Troy Denning author
of "The New Jedi
Order: Star by Star", the "Dark Nest" Trilogy,
and "Legacy of the
Force: Invincible" was on hand doing a book signing. I
purchased a copy of "Legacy of the Force:
Invincible" and
stood in line and then
had it autographed by Mr. Denning. He also posed for a picture
with me.
Next, at 11:40 AM, "Legends of the Force: A Star Wars
Celebrity
Motorcade" was held. The 501st Legion Florida Garrison
was well
represented with a large line of members dressed in Imperial
officer
uniforms, stormtrooper, clone trooper, as well as other Imperial
or
denizen costumes which characterize the group. After the 501st
the
Rebel Legion was represented. In the past they were always
grouped
with the 501st and while their name wasn't reported at this
parade
like the 501st was, their members did carry a banner that announced them
as the Rebel Legion. Daniel Logan, Jeremy Bulloch, and Warwick
Davis were then brought through the parade with them sitting
on top of
the back seats of convertible cars that had their roofs down.
I took a break after the parade and had lunch at the "50's
Prime Time
Diner". In the afternoon I met Jeremy Bulloch again and
took the Boba
Fett "Fan's Choice" action figure which Mr. Bulloch
for me. I then
met Warwick Davis who autographed the 2008 Star Wars Weekends
poster
that I had Daniel Logan and Jeremy Bulloch autograph the day
prior
making it complete for all of the celebrity guests who had
attended
this weekend.
The day ended for me by eating dinner at the "Rose and
Crown Pub" at
Epcot. From that spot I could watch "Illuminations" the
evening
fireworks show at Epcot. Because of the time of my reservation
I was
not able to attend the Hyperspace Hoopla and I ended the day
quite late.
She’s rich, powerful…and if you were to rescue
her the reward would be…more well than you can imagine!
She is Princess Leia Organa, the fiery heroine of the Rebel
Alliance and twin sister of Luke Skywalker. Gentle Giant
produced this life-size, actual honest-to-goodness, Carrie
Fisher scale, animated style statue. Based off of their successful
Princess Leia & Artoo-Detoo animated statuette, this
amazing work of art stands just over five feet tall, is made
of fiberglass, and is impeccably detailed and expertly painted.
This is one item that really let’s you take advantage
of Toyrocket’s flat-rate shipping! This amazing collectible
is extremely limited, so order today! (Flat-rate shipping
only available within the continental United States. No foreign

Our sister
site Indiana
Jones Collectors posted a new in-depth Rene Belloq
Review, check it out:
The best villains are those who are the
dark reflection of the hero. These villains have moral codes
and motivations that perfectly clash with those of the hero.
These are the villains that make for great storytelling,
and the pantheon of cinema is filled with them. Sherlock
Holmes had Professor Moriarity. Batman had the Joker.
Indiana Jones had Rene Belloq.
Indy’s equal in many ways, Belloq was the dark reflection
of Dr. Henry Jones Jr. Where Indiana sought knowledge, Belloq
sought fortune. Where Indiana valued truth and fairness,
Belloq dealt in lies and deceit. Where Indiana placed faith
in science and empirical data, Belloq placed faith in the
spiritual and supernatural. It is that faith which drove
Belloq to find the lost Ark of the Covenant. Dressed in ceremonial
garb, he opened the Ark and found a power beyond his expectations—and
his control.
For their first rendition of Rene Belloq, Hasbro chose the
final appearance of the mercenary archaeologist, and like
the Ark, it turns out to be much more than expected.
July 26th is getting closer and closer (and to see how close
check out all the nifty new countdown timers at swactionnews.com)
and the excitement is palpable for new toys. None of the
new toys has gotten the buzz as the new vehicles, and with
Hasbro previewing the instruction sheets this past week even
the buzz has buzz. The Star Wars Action News staff convenes
for their first roundtable discussion of the season to discuss
these upcoming vehicles, and will return next week with another
roundtable to discuss the figures.
We also have a call from Rusty in Orlando updating us to
the Star Wars Weekends fun at Disney, and talk about how
you can own an actual piece of the Captain Rex prop from
the Star Tours ride.
With a review of the Hoth Patrol TRU Battle Pack, discussion
on where to find all the shadow-y Saga Legends figures, and
Star Wars fun in general, it's Star Wars Action News.
Namco Bandai has confirmed yet another Star Wars
character for Soul Calibur IV on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
It is already common knowledge that Yoda and Vader will be
playable in the game.
Beyond that though, there is another playable character, The
Secret Apprentice, also known as the apprentice to Darth Vader.
The new Star Wars character is starring in the upcoming Star
Wars: The Force Unleashed which will release this fall on the
Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360
The project lead for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed at
LucasArts Haden Blackman stated “The Secret Appentice
is a great fit for Soul Calibur, a franchise known for its
over-the-top
characters and frenzied fighting action.”

Invades Star Wars Weekends!
Yodasnews.com contributor Jace reports in from
Walt Disney World! Read the first report below!
Star Wars Weekends 2008 began Friday, June 6,
2008 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The featured guests for
this first weekend were
the two Boba Fetts—Jeremy Bulloch (episodes V and VI)
and Daniel Logan (Episode II). Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok
from Episode VI as well
as cameos throughout the prequel trilogy) served as the host
for the Weekends this year.
My experience began this date by getting to Hollywood Studios
and after waiting in line to get into the park I stood in line
for
autograph fast passes. Fortunately I was able to get a guaranteed
ticket for Jeremy Bulloch and a family member who attended
with me got
a guaranteed ticket for Daniel Logan and a stand-by ticket
for Warwick Davis.
After getting the autograph fast passes, I attended the showing
of "Behind the Force", which is a staple of Star
Wars Weekends. This
year's feature of "Behind the Force" is the forthcoming "Clone
Wars" movie. Warwick Davis taped segments where he introduced
certain
aspects such as the trailer for the movie and an interview
with Dave Filoni, director of "Clone Wars". Then
the taped Warwick introduced
John Sade from Lucas Film at Skywalker Ranch who further
talked about "Clone Wars" in addition to sharing
some facts about the
operations at Skywalker Ranch and the other companies. A short
film about the clones was showed and it was revealed that the
clones
developed some semblances of individuality such as they all
have different personalities—often closely associated
with the Jedi with
whom they worked. Its also revealed that many clones got tattoos
and kept different hair styles. Rex has short cropped blond
hair! Ahsoka
Tano was then discussed and they then had someone dressed up
as Ahsoka and she came out did a lightsaber demonstration and
it was announced
that the character would be posing for pictures and "giving
autographs" throughout the Weekends. Next a short clip
from the movie
which has yet to be aired anywhere else. In the scene Anakin
and his new padawan, Ahsoka, battle against the droid army
up a hill in an
effort to rescue Jabba's son.
Next I stood in line for two hours at "Wicket's Warehouse" where
the collectible merchandise was being sold. I purchased both
2008 SWW
t-shirts, the 2008 SWW hat, the Muppet Star Wars figures, the
new Disney / Star Wars crossover figures (Mickey as Anakin,
Minnie as
Queen Amidala, Goofy as Jar Jar Binks, Donald Duck as Darth
Maul, and Stitch as Yoda), the three SWW pins for the week,
the limited edition
Donald Duck as Darth Maul watch, and the boxed pin set of the
Clones. The Padme and Leia figures for "Dressing the Galaxy" could
not be
found in any of the stores and no one seemed to know where
they were. I checked at "Wicket's Warehouse" and
at the "Star Tours" ride as
well as the small shops along the way.
By the time I waited in line and then purchased the merchandise,
it was soon time for the Celebrity Talk Show. As we were ushered
in the
Stormtroopers did their usual comedy routine including mocks
of the Stormtrooper who hit his head in "A New Hope" and
the Stormtroopers
who danced on the Donnie and Marie show. It was funny as always.
In typical fashion Warwick Davis interviewed Jeremy Bulloch
and Daniel
Logan. They picked on Daniel slightly because while Warwick
was wearing a suit and Jeremy had casual pants, nice shirt,
and blazer
on—Daniel walked out in a t-shirt, gym shorts, and flip
flops. Warwick had Jeremy and Daniel do an improv scene where
Jeremy was C3PO
and Daniel was R2D2 when they walked up to Jabba's Palace during "Return
of the Jedi" except that they were selling Avon. It was
funny
and they did a great job of working together. This was Daniel's
21st birthday so they sung "Happy Birthday" to him
and then the show ended
with them singing the Mickey Mouse goodbye song and they even
had force ghost Yoda and Obi-Wan singing (the voice impression
of Yoda was
terrible).
After grabbing lunch I went to my autograph session with Daniel
Logan. As usual, Daniel was great with fans and full of energy.
As I walked
up he looked at me and said he remembers meeting me before.
In fact, I had met him last August at Fan Expo in Canada. I
have no idea how
he remembered me but he did and he signed the Star Wars Weekends
2008 Poster that I bought as well as a headshot. I wished him
a happy
birthday and he shook my hand and told me it was nice seeing
me again. Other fans in line came up to me afterwards and were
impressed that
Daniel remembered me from before.
Later I got my autograph with Jeremy Bulloch. I had wanted
him to sign an action figure of Boba Fett I had purchased as
well the SWW
2008 poster but the Disney staff kept shouting that only one
item could be signed so he signed the poster and he apologized
for only
being able to sign the one item. I then was going to try and
stay in line for the standby ticket for Warwick but figured
I'd just get in
his line tomorrow for a guaranteed fast pass.
I missed the morning parade because of being in line for merchandise
and I ended my day by attending the "Spirit of Aloha" dinner
show at the
Polynesian so I missed the "Hyperspace Hoopla". Look
for another report tomorrow!

Amazon.com
Sale!
If you are in the market for some older Hasbro
Star Wars toys then
Amazon.com may be just the place to hit.
Right now they are having a summer toy sale with most toys
at 40% off. Click here to check them out!
We all know that the Clone Wars took place over
an extended amount of time in the Star Wars Universe -- started
in Episode II and ended at the end of Episode III -- and that
we only got a brief taste of it in the new trilogy. In order
for Star Wars: The Clone Wars to fill us in on more events
that occurred during the Clone Wars, the film is looking to
have an extended running time.
While films running over two hours has become habit in the
new century, it is rare to see an animation approach the
mark. According to Fandongo, the official running time for
Star Wars: The Clone Wars falls on 121 minutes, or 2 Hours
and 1 Minute.
Long for a live action? No. Long for an animation? Hell yes!
If the film turns out having the quality of either of the two
Clone Wars volumes, then these two hours will be very well
spent. If the film turns out like Phantom Menace I might just
sue Lucas for the loss of those two hours.

Charity Pin Still Available!
This Father's Day, don't give dad a boring necktie.
Give him what he really wants - a Boba Fett lapel pin! First
announced during Memorial Day weekend, the Washington DC Metro
Area Star
Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) announces
their third bi-annual charity lapel pin is still available,
but in dwindling numbers.
The 2008 pin features animated Boba Fett with DCSWCC's signature
Washington Monument as his rocket, in honor of the 30th anniversary
of his appearance in The Star Wars Holiday Special. Third in
DCSWCC's series of high-quality cloisonne lapel pins, officially
sanctioned by Lucasfilm Ltd., each pin is individually stamped
and numbered on the back. Only 1000 will ever be made.
All proceeds from the sales of this pin benefit the Aluminum
Cans for Burned Children Program, whose mission is to prevent
burns and improve the quality of life for young burn survivors
and their families in the Mid-Atlantic region. ACBC provides
funding for research, annual therapeutic residential burn
camps, and other year-round activities that support their
physical, psychological, and social needs. For more information
about ACBC, visit their website at http://acbcprogram.org.
DCSWCC has a rich history of supporting children's charities
in the Washington DC region. Their previous charity pins featured
Yoda and Chewbacca, and netted almost $10,000 for DC Children's
Hospital and The Children's Inn at NIH. To order your Boba
Fett pin, visit http://store.dcswcc.org today!

When Star Wars hit in 1977, kids stopped playing
superheroes, threw down their G.I. Joes and instantly became
wanna-be Jedi Knights. Hell, one of the best-selling toys of
the Christmas 1977 season was an empty box—which merely
promised that Star Wars action figures were coming. Seeing
the sci-fi toy craze, toymakers smelled "star-bucks" (Get
it? Get it?) and didn’t let a little thing like having
actual Star Wars licensing rights or a decent (and slightly
modified) concept of the film stop them. Here are just a few
items that tried to deprive George Lucas of his trademark flannel
shirts by stealing some of that sweet, sweet Star Wars merchandising
money

Star
Wars Hallmark Dream Book Images!
Yodasnews.com reader Shannon reports in:
I'm sending you this link and hopefully it
will work because it is a link to the 2008 Hallmark Dream
Book. The Star Wars ornaments have been revealed and
of course they center around Return of the Jedi!
In this weeks Hasbro Q&A, our friends at YakFace.com got
a look at the finalized boxed image for the SDCC exclusive,
click the image below to see the larger image at YakFace:
It seems that LucasArts has laid off somewhere in the
neighborhood of 100 employees, sparking all sorts of interesting
leaks
and rumors. Chief among the rumors seems to be another carrot
in the chase for the LucasArts/Bioware MMO project, which
according to one employee, will take the shape of KOTOR 3. "Most
interesting, however, is the information they provide on
how the layoffs leave the company severely short-staffed
as they approach a packed development schedule, one which
it appears may be increasingly outsourced. Some of the titles
they report LucasArts apparently have in this stacked pipeline,
whether as publisher or developer, include: KOTOR 3, Battlefront
3, 'The Official Indiana Jones' game, another LEGO based
game based on the Indy universe, and 'a lightsaber game for
the Wii.'"

New
Hasbro Q&A!
Check out the next Yodasnews Hasbro Q&A below!
YN: At the beginning of the year Hasbro launched a promotion
called "Play Rewards". Let me first say thank
you, as I have received my rewards check and can’t
wait to use it come July 26th!
When the promotion was in effect, there was a list of eligible
items on the Hasbro website that included the 8 un-released
Titanium Forged figures (Utapau Clone Trooper, AOTC Red Clone
Officer, Jango Fett, Tusken Raider, R2-D2, Hoth Darth Vader,
Han Solo and the Snowtrooper). Being a fan of the Titanium
Forged figure line, I was truly looking forward to the release
of these figures when word got out that the line had been
canceled. I actually had several of them pre-ordered through
online retailers and my orders were canceled, stating that
the manufacturer had halted production on them. Upon investigating
the matter further, a Hasbro representative informed me via
voicemail that they had been produced in very limited quantities
but had since been out of production. This news has me puzzled
as I have seen nothing anywhere on the internet that would
lead me to believe that they have ever been found or purchased
by anyone.
So my question is this, have any of these remaining 8 Titanium
Forged figures ever been released? If so when, where and
in what kind of numbers?
H: We're glad you like the Play Rewards - it seems to
have been very popular. On Titanium Forged figures, we
are not sure what did get out, as we found out long after
the fact, but apparently some of the figures did manage
to get out in small quantities in Canada before production
was shut down.
We're sorry that we don't have better information on these
guys..
YN: Any plans to reissue some of the comic pack figures,
that have been exclusive to the comic packs, on individual
cards?
H: Right now, there are no plans as we are keeping most
of the comic packs in rotation and will be coming back
in the blue/white line look. For some of the rest, we are
likely not to release them because their proper context
- especially the Marvel issues - is with the comics. Eventually,
it's possible some of the others could see a single card
release, but that will not be for a long, long time.
YN: When can we expect to see the new Comic 2-packs hitting
the shelves? Also, do you have any plans on making a clamshell
big enough for collecting the Comic 2-packs?
H: We can't WAIT to get our hands on the new packs ourselves
since it's been a long time since we last saw a batch of
new ones. We deliberately decided that rather than cut
the new ones super short at the end of Spring, we would
roll them into the Fall assortment. The new blue/white
line look is running a little late, so if the new ones
are not out in time for 7/26, they will be there within
several weeks after. Trust us, they are worth the wait
- the new Fall waves are absolutely amazing.
This week we have the exclusive Force Unleashed Commemorative
Collection figures in stock, featuring Darth Vader with
Invinerator Troopers and Emperor Palpatine with Shadow
Stormtroopers. Plenty of unique Star Wars vintage items
have been, including toy store displays and tons of Sigma
ceramic products. Also in stock is the metallic-finished
Deep Space Starscream. For more exciting collectibles,

Dagger
Squadron Set?
Yodasnews reader Ghost of QG reports in with
some interesting news:
I think I may have discovered the identity
of the new EE exclusive figure
pack
coming in
October. If not at least it will confirm a new ship. I think
it is a Rebel Pilot 6 pack and here's why. In the new Rebellion
comic there is a squadron of B-Wings referred to as Dagger
Squadron.
Now on Hasbro's website they have an instruction
pamphlet for a Dagger Squadron B-Wing. On one of the pages
it says you can customize it 4 different ways and tells
you the pilots names:
Lt. Netrem Pollard (Squadron Leader),
Black Dagger
Vin Nothos,Scarlet Dagger
Callen Troyt, Gold Dagger
Nera Dantels, Blue Dagger

George Lucas has created legendary film heroes
like Luke Skywalker and Indiana Jones, but the US director
says that in real life, his hero is Barack Obama.
Lucas was in Japan on Wednesday to promote his latest film, "Indiana
Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," as Obama
clinched the Democratic Party's nomination for president.
"We have a hero in the making back in the United States
today because we have a new candidate for president of the
United States, Barack Obama," Lucas said when asked who
his childhood heroes were.
Obama, "for all of us that have dreams and hope, is a
hero," Lucas said.
Lucas is the creator of the blockbuster "Star Wars" series,
as well as the adventures of the swashbuckling archaeologist
Indiana Jones, played by Harrison Ford.
Obama on Tuesday sealed the Democratic contest after a marathon
battle with Hillary Clinton, becoming the first black White
House candidate nominated by a major party.

Happy birthday Star Wars toys! 30 years ago,
you came into our lives, and 30 years later, we're all kicking
ourselves for not hoarding you away, keeping you in pristine
condition and eventually getting rich by selling you to the
highest bidder. Fortunately, there are more of you being made
today and the London Times has declared which of you recently
released, still-cheap items are likely to go up in value.
The spotlight is part of a list featured in today's Money
Central section of the Times. Titled "The top 10 Star
Wars collectibles," the list includes 30-year-old, super-rare
action figures like Kenner's Darth Vader with double-telescoping
light saber (currently valued at £5,000-plus, or almost
$10,000 US) and this year's Lego version of the X-WIng Fighter
(currently sold for £150, or $293 US). Coming in at #10
are the two-year old, "too cute" Galactic Heroes
line of figures from Hasbro, which are currently only "the
price of a rip-off sandwich" (£3, or $5.86 US).
Speaking of "too cute", I'm personally going
for the plush SD Darth Vader (pictured) that the Times lists
at
#9. But I actually haven't learned anything from the past 30
years and so I'm going to actually play with it. Or use it
as a stress reliever whenever I see articles telling us to
invest in action figures. See, I believe toys are for playing
with, comic books are for reading and collectibles made solely
to be collectibles are a waste of space.
For images of all the toys listed in the Times article,
check out the gallery below. I also included the unmentioned
Galactic
Heroes Darth Vader Unmasked toy, because it fits with the criticism
that these toys are "too cute." What person who'd
seen Jedi as a kid would have ever expected a cute version
of the unmasked Vader/Anakin?
Andrew's
Toyz and Yodasnews have teamed up this summer for 3

A loop hole could pit Family Guy against regular
comedies instead of just in the cartoon category in Emmy nominations
to be announced July 17th. Normally Family Guy would not have
the option to be nominated, but Blue Harvest being called a "special" has
made this possible. Read

Star
Wars Action News Update
Over at Amazon.com's Target store the Jungle Rancor (which
is called the Battle Rancor on the box) is still in stock.
Star Wars Action News ordered some and they were delivered
this week. Will there be a rumble in the Felucian jungle,
or are these battle-painted beasties best left on store shelves?
We review the Rancor and his rider this week.
Also this week, items are starting to show up in the new
Clone Wars packing. Star Wars Action News staff member Kevin
has found some at his local Target and he calls in with a
report and some photos!
With Scott From Tulsa reminding you of all the upcoming
pre-orders, Nathan P. Butler answering the age-old question "Where
do I start reading the EU?", Steve updating us on collecting
in the UK, and a tribute to Harvey Korman, you'll find it
all on this week's Star Wars Action News.
With all the video uploading sites that have popped up in
the last few years (youtube, myspace, google) tons of very
cool older Star Wars commercials, clips, home movies and
more have surfaced so we decided to feature some of the better
ones right here. This one is not that far in the past (2006)
but still worth a view if you have not seen it!
Click below to check out a commercial that was made for
a political campaign for Rockingham County Board of Education
in 2006.
It was uploaded to
YouTube.com by a member by the name of kwerky (there are
others as well, that you can view
here). If you found something
out there in cyberespace that you think we should feature,
be sure to let us know!

the Force Be With You!
The Force is strong with Amanda Lucas daughter
of legendary Hollywood filmmaker George Lucas who made her
mixed martial arts debut in Auckland last night. Amanda, who featured in three of her father's Star Wars blockbusters,
slipped unnoticed into New Zealand last Sunday with a US
all-female fight team.
The Americans took on an Australasian side in the Princesses
of Pain event at the Auckland Boxing Association Stadium. Amanda,
27, was pitted against Kiwi kickboxer Nicole Kavanagh in the
73kg MMA contest.
Footage of the bout should end up on a reality TV show planned
around the formation of a women's international fight league.Current affairs show 20/20 also covered the event.
Princesses of Pain promoter Belinda Dunne said Amanda's arrival
created a buzz among martial artists but the billionaire's
daughter had fitted straight in.
She's even staying at the same central Auckland backpackers'
lodge as her team-mates, despite being accompanied by her American
bodybuilder fiancee.

Wizard
World Philly Day 3 Report!
Wizard World Philadelphia ended today and PSWCS
member Jace continues our coverage for Day 3. Check out Jace's
Day 3 Report and some images below:
"Sunday morning I woke up and checked out
of the hotel. We were parked in the parking deck across
from
the convention center on the fifth level. Unfortunately the
elevator broke down and we had to climb up the steps with
all of our stuff. It was exhausting but we got it done.
I then walked over to the convention center and the line
to get in was huge but when I asked one of the staff members
they indicated VIPs could go right up to the convention hall.
There was a line of VIPs but they let us in right at 11 AM
and I went directly to the Katee Sackhoff autograph area.
She was scheduled to start signing at Noon but I didn't mind
waiting for an hour. I ended up in the first 20 people to
get an autograph.
At about 12:15 Katee came out and I have to say she's
even more pretty in person--I take that back, she's GORGEOUS.
While talking to fans she said, "Watch Nip/Tuck".
I told her I thought CBS made a big mistake not picking
her for CSI and she said she was better off with Nip/Tuck."
Starting June 6 and continuing on through June
29th, Star Wars weekends brings in troves of new collectibles
to the Hollywood Studios Park at Walt Disney World in Orlando
Florida. Check out some of some of the items here

Wizard
World Philly Day 2 Report!
Wizard World Philadelphia kicked off Friday
at the PA Convention Center and PSWCS member Jace
continues our coverage for Day 2. Our own Yoda027 will be
on hand on Sunday for Day 3 Coverage, if you see him be sure
to say
Hello! Check out Jace's Day 2 Report below:
Saturday at Wizard World Philadelphia began
for me by attending the J.G. Jones: Career Retrospective
panel. J.G. was the guest of honor
for Wizard World Philadelphia this year and unfortunately
this panel was sparsely attended with less than twenty people
in attendance. The
panel began with a power point presentation that focused
on different comic book covers that J.G. has done and then
he talked about the
comics he has worked on including "52" and now "Final
Crisis". After the question and answer aspect of the
panel those in attendance were
invited to come up for autographs. I had J.G. autograph the
first edition of "52" which I bought and the Wizard
World program since the
Flash from "Final Crisis" was on the cover which
J.G. drew.
Next I went to the convention center and went to the
D.C. Comics booth where they were offering a lot of freebies.
I picked up posters that
include the new weekly comic "Trinity" which will
feature Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman; Green Lantern
from "Final Crisis", Flash
from "Final Crisis", "Titans", and "Tiny
Titans". I also picked up the Superman comic from Free
Comic Book Day, DC Universe 0, "Tiny
Titans" #1, and "Number of the Beast" #1 all
of which were free. D.C. also had their buttons they gave
out as well as a booklet entitled "DC
Comics 30 Essential Graphic Novels".
"The good: It's Indy! It's John Williams!
It's the first three films! It has bullwhips! More puzzles!
More collectibles! More desperate(ly cute) feats of blockheaded
derring-do!
The bad: Some of the static camera angles make navigating
tricky 3D puzzles unnecessarily difficult; a few annoyingly
abstruse, totally counterintuitive logic puzzles; poor edge
delineation, making it easy to slip off into explosive blocky
oblivion"
The Dune Sea Garrison of the 501st gets a good
reputation for being the bad guys with a heart to help out
charities. Read all about it here!
