Wolfpack Clone Trooper: 104th Battalion by Sideshow Collectibles
2014 will mark the Second Annual Indiana Toy
& Comic Expo here in Indianapolis. Because we are a collaboration
of collectors and dealers ourselves, we hope to set our show apart
from others in offering a fun affordable show for attendees. Our
goal is and has always been to target key vendors, artists &
creators that we feel bring a lot to the table while weeding out
all of the “fluff” that takes away from a great show.
Additionally going through a vendor/artist selection process ensures
that you don’t see too many dealers of the same products.
With that being said, our 2014 show will take place on July

According to one report, Disney is preparing
to restore order to the galaxy by making it clear Han shot first.
If you ever want to watch Star Wars fans froth at the mouth,
simply tell them that you agree with George Lucas’ choice
in the 2004 Special Edition of A New Hope to make it look like
Greedo shot at Han first. Due to this ill conceived choice on
the part of Lucas, the original three films have not seen an HD
release in their original theatrical forms, and that has been
fodder for many a Star Wars fan to spit fire.
According to Bleeding Cool, Disney is pondering righting
this wrong. Apparently the site has received a copy of an email
that states Disney wants to release the original theatrical versions
on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD prior to the release of Star Wars Episode
VII as a way to refresh our memories of where the story left off.
In reality, this would also go a very long way of building good
will with the fan base before launching the new trilogy. Since
Disney now owns the rights to everything Star Wars, it would be
well within its purview to make sure we get the films in the format
we have been begging for for years.
Beyond the obvious Han/Greedo debacle, this would also remove
some of the other silliness such as the retooled Sy Snootles and
the Max Rebo Band scene in Return of the Jedi. It would take out
the gratuitous appearance of Boba Fett in the first film with
the awful CGI Jabba in the first film. And while there are many
other changes to be removed, Hayden Christensen would not appear
as the Force Ghost of Anakin. That change alone could be enough
to warrant buying a new set.
Where the rumor begins to fall apart a bit is apparently
the same report also discusses the possibility of considering
the prequel trilogy as part of the Legends Universe, meaning they
would no longer be considered canon. As much hatred as we may
all spew at those films, that seems like a highly unlikely move.
Yes, it would give Disney some more freedom for telling stories
set in the past, but I’m more inclined to believe those
films will just be forgotten as opposed to essentially being erased.
As it stands all of this is rumor, but it certainly makes
a lot of sense that Disney might consider such a move. Speaking
as a fan, I know that I would certainly welcome being able to
once again see the films as I remember them.

Harrison Ford has gone on record to share his
pleasure at being a part of J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars
sequel for the first time since early May’s cast announcement.
Speaking at the press conference for ‘The Expendables 3’
in Cannes, the actor said: “I’m delighted to be involved.
“We have a great cast and a great script, and the director,
J.J. Abrams, is at the top of his game.” In true Harrison
Ford style, he refused to give any more away. But he said he expected
to enjoy himself when the shoot started up later in the year.
“The dirty little secret is that making movies is great
fun. It’s just a great job,” he laughed.
But while the actor might be happy to discuss the film now,
Ford wasn’t too pleased when we asked him about Star Wars
last year…

One of Star Wars' best pilots won't be returning
in Episode VII. Denis Lawson, who played Rebel ace Wedge Antilles
in the original trilogy, has confirmed that he turned down the
chance to return in the upcoming Star Wars sequel. Speaking at
a screening of his new movie, The Machine, Lawson said "they
asked me but it just would have bored me."
Wedge — not to be confused with the Captain Antilles
strangled by Darth Vader minutes into Episode IV — appeared
as a hotshot pilot in all three original movies. While his part
was minor, Wedge notably helped save Luke Skywalker during his
attack on the first Death Star, survived the battle of Hoth, and
contributed to the destruction of the second by flying into its
core alongside Lando Calrissian. According to Badass Digest, Lawson
suggested he might have returned if the role was increased in
scope, but ultimately rejected the offer.

shop (Total Hockey) up the road and sure enough they had 4 of

Writer-Producer Simon Kinberg is keeping extremely
busy these days as he’s playing a huge role in three of
Hollywood’s biggest franchises: X-Men, Fantastic Four, and

The Force Unites to Help a Legend Auction - Final Update
Thanks to this great community, great friends and
fansites that have shared this news, the silent auction raised
$130 for Shannon. We had 11 bidders but Mike McCullough was top
bid at $130 and will take home the one of a kind AP print signed
by Peter Mayhew, Tom Kane and Jim Cummings and other goodies from
our 10 Year!

Sonar Chief Petty Officer Geoffrey Walker and
the crew of the USS Hampton set out on a real life mission, as
two fast-attack submarines departed for the North Pole to conduct
extensive testing in Arctic waters.
Aboard the USS Hampton, based out of San Diego,
Chief Walker is regarded as the leading expert on Sonar and Foreign
naval weapon systems, but he is also known as the ship’s
biggest Star Wars fan. Prior to the expedition, Chief Walker contacted
Sideshow with a fantastic
idea for a unique photo opportunity - how cool would it be to
pay homage to Star Wars in one of our planet’s most Hoth-like
environments?
Sideshow’s team members were honored to
provide the crew with a Snowtrooper and Darth Vader Deluxe Sixth
Scale Figures to make the trek. “When Chief Walker contacted
us with

The Force Unites to Help a Legend Auction Update!
UPDATE: Thanks to this great community
and great friends and fansites that have shared this news, the
silent auction is already at $100 in under and and we have raised
$145 in total for Shannon. This is a great start but I know we
can do better. The auction is live right now and will
end today, May 7th at 10:00 p.m. EST

According to a 'reset' in the expanded universe...All stories
of Mara Jade are now that of legend. For well over the past decade,
a face was given to that name. We all have grown to know and love
Shannon (Baska) Mcrandle for giving her likeness to the character.
What many don't know is that Shannon has had a battle of her own,
cancer.
As a cancer survivor and father to three wonderful children,
we've found a way to give something back to Shannon. Working with
Mark and YodasNews... along with the father of another cancer
survivor, Mr Tom Kane, we've united to bring some relief to Shannon
and her family by way of this benefit.
Shannon's bills still accrue and we all can do something
to help. My family and I met up with Tom at MegaCon in Orlando
recently. Without hesitation, Mr. Kane (the voice of Yoda in various
mediums, along with narrating The Clone Wars series) signed this
Artist Proof YodasNews 10th Anniversary poster. Jim Cummings (legendary
voice actor and Hondo in the series) also lent his signature.
Last was that of our favorite Wookiee in all mediums, Mr.Peter
Mayhew, who will reprise his role as Chewbacca in upcoming yet
untitled Episode VII!
From Jocleyn, Logan, Hunter, and myself we hope that you
will show your generous spirit in helping Shannon.

Publisher Electronic Arts plans to show more
from Star Wars: Battlefront, the DICE-developed game set in the
Star Wars universe, at this year's E3, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said
during an investor call today.
In response to a request for an update on EA's slate of Star
Wars titles, Wilson said it expects to reveal more about the new
Battlefront "and other new projects in development"
at the annual game expo.
EA announced the new Frostbite-powered Star Wars: Battlefront
at last year's E3, in the form a brief teaser trailer seemingly
set on the frozen planet Hoth. The company expects to release
the game, one of the first in its exclusive publishing agreement
with Disney, as early as summer 2015. Other Star Wars titles are
in development at EA-owned studios Visceral Games and BioWare.
Wilson said earlier in the call that Electronic Arts expects
to show as many as six new titles at this year's E3 show.

page but wanted to also share here. Hasbro sent along high
resolution images of the Star Wars Day Reveals for the Black Series
Yoda and Jabba.
When intergalactic crime lord Jabba the Hutt
hung Han Solo in carbonite on his throne room wall, he may have
discovered the ultimate piece of home decor. Luckily, all of us
can own a version of Han in carbonite for our homes without upsetting
any Wookiees in the process.

Star Wars Comic teamed up with LEGO to give one
lucky reader the chance to win their dream LEGO Star Wars bedroom!
They asked children to send in their designs for a dream Star
Wars themed bedroom, build entirely out of LEGO. They gave them
complete imaginative freedom to design their dream bedroom however
they wanted.
They received so many brilliantly creative designs-

Jango Fett Sixth Scale Figure by Sideshow Collectibles
It's been a whirlwind few weeks with lots of
Star Wars announcements: from Disney Store exclusive toys, Episode
VII cast announcements, the fate of the Expanded Universe...but
what about the action figures?
Worry not, thanks to a special sneak preview event in Glendale,
CA...we have a first look at the Hasbro action figure lineup for
Saga Legends and Mission Series. Some of these toys were revealed
at Toy Fair, but many of the figures shown here were not revealed
to be part of the lineup...until now.

The Walt Disney Co. and Lucasfilm want to introduce
the “Star Wars” film franchise to younger audiences
and families through interactive story books called “Star
Wars Journeys” that launch today. The app-based experience,
available only on Apple devices as of now, is the first digital
“Star Wars” product that Disney and Lucasfilm have
developed in-house since the Mouse House bought Lucasfilm in 2012.
The plan is to launch An app for each “Star Wars”
film leading up to J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode
VII,” in theaters Dec. 18, 2015. Each installment of “Journeys”
costs $6.99 on Apple’s App Store.
