Star Wars: 1,000 Collectibles by Stephen Sansweet with
Anne Neumann is the book Star Wars collectors have been
waiting for -- a 568-page virtual exhibit of Sansweet's
personal Star Wars collectibles museum -- called "Rancho
Obi-Wan" -- showcasing 1,000 hand-picked items from
the world's largest Star Wars collection. Accompanying
each image -- and there are over 1,000 -- are historical
tidbits, little-known facts, and personal stories drawing
the reader into the rich universe of Star Wars collecting.
It's a sugar rush of eye-catching imagery and quirky commentary
matched with an engrossing account of one collector's mission
to preserve the merchandising legacy of Star Wars for generations
to come.
Steve answered a few of our questions about 1,000 Collectibles

Q & A
Session with Gentle Giant Ltd.
The team from Gentle Giant Ltd. was again kind enough to
answer a bunch of questions GentleGiantCollectors.com members
had. Some things that were answered were:
When will the Yak Face Mini Bust be shipped for Domestic
and International Members?
Does GG ever discuss secondary market value?
How has the biggest collection amoung GG employees?
Will the Jabba Bookends be in static poses or magnetic?
All these questions, and many more, can be read by clicking
here or the image below (please note a free forum account
will be needed to view the boards). GGC also sent along
a spreadsheet of upcoming items to GG and should have a
updated list of edition sizes and release dates later in

If Robot Chicken, Star Wars, Voltron and Power Rangers
were all cut up into tiny little pieces then glued back
together with love, satire and perhaps a little glitter,
you might end up with the new sci-fi comedy show Titan
Maximum -- debuting on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on
Sept. 27, 2009.
Created by Robot Chicken producer/co-head writer/director
Tom Root and Robot Chicken executive producer/co-creator/writer/director
Matthew Senreich, Titan Maximum uses stop-motion animation
to bring an '80s-inspired action cartoon to life.
Set 100 years in the future, Saturn's moon Titan is defended
by Titan Force Five, an elite squadron of young, brash
pilots whose spaceships combine to form the giant robot
Titan Maximum. As the series opens, the team has been disbanded
due to budget cuts, but must hastily reassemble when a
former team member turns rogue and tries to conquer the
solar system with an assault of giant monsters. Now, the
fate of humanity rests in the hands of a team of dysfunctional
misfits commanding a rustbucket robot.
StarWars.com talks with the show co-creators and writers
Matt Senreich and Tom Root, as well as the executive producer
and cast member Seth Green, and the rest of the cast Breckin
Meyer, Rachael Leigh Cook, Dan Milano and Eden Espinosa.
A new LEGO Star Wars game is out today, and best of
all it's free and can be played online now. LEGO Star
Wars: The Quest for R2-D2 has been created by game developer
Three Melons for LEGO. It's a free to play online web
game. A version of it was released earlier in May this
year, but today's release features much more. It feels
far from being just a browser based game. Using Flash
and the free Unity Web Player plug-in, you can really
enjoy this LEGO game. You can play it full screen without
any other intrusions on your desktop or display. You're
also playing with, or against, a world of players using
a global scoring system.
To save your score, get achievements, and participate
in the galactic conquest, you'll need to create a LEGO
ID. If you don't have one, you will be guided through
the steps on quickly setting it up. You'll want to register
to get on the leaderboards as well! You can select from
two characters to begin with, which include Anakin Skywalker
(Republicans) and Asajj Ventress (Separatists). Finding
Platinum Bricks during gameplay allows you to upgrade
your character.
LEGO Star Wars: The Quest for R2-D2 keeps track of
how many Republicans and how many Separatists have completed
the missions. Republicans are currently in the lead,
so catch up Separatists! There's a limited time to participate
in the battles, so check it out soon and fight for your
side. Whether you are part of the Republicans or Separatists,
get playing now and determine the fate of the galaxy.
It's a must play and won't cost you a cent.
It's hard to believe it has been three years since we
first went online, but earlier in the week, on September
22, 2009, Gentle
Giant Collectors.com turned three years old.
Over the last three years , we have built up a massive
Image Guide of nearly every single item Gentle Giant Ltd
has produced. We add to the guide weekly and we have seen
over two dozen of the products on our Most
Wanted list get made by Gentle Giant since we launched
it in 2007.
We have over 15,000 products registered in our registry
and have over 250,000 messages posted at our message boards!
In 2009, we also became the official home of the Gentle
Giant Collection of the Month. We have expanded our very
popular Price
Guides and have added improvements to our registy that
allows collectors to not only keep track of each item and
edition number but also download and export it, and also
see a current market value of what the collection is worth!
Be sure to check out the GGC forums where we will be
giving away some very cool items next week to our readers
thanks to Gentle Giant LTD and our sponsors!
We are still taking pre-orders for the Star Wars Gentle
Giant mini-busts & statues that will be shipping in
the next few months. All of our Star Wars Gentle Giant
pieces can be found HERE on
our website.
Additionally we are offering FREE SHIPPING on the most
recent released Star Wars Diorama from Sideshow, "Sabotage".
Quantities are limited so hurry!

John Williams’ score for the original 1977 Star
Wars movie has been declared the best science fiction movie
soundtrack of all time in a poll conducted by popular sci-fi
website Totalscifionline.com
The score to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, composed
by James Horner, came in second place, while Vangelis’ haunting
electro soundtrack for Blade Runner - recently voted the
best sci-fi movie of all time - completed the top three.
Composer John Williams won an Academy Award, a Golden
Globe, a BAFTA Award and a Grammy Award for his work on
Star Wars, and helped define the much-loved saga with scores
for all six Star Wars movies between 1977 and 2005. His
score for Close Encounters of the Third Kind also made
the Totalscifionline.com Top 10, coming in at number 8.
Matt McAllister, editor of TotalSciFiOnline.com said: “With
his score for Star Wars, John Williams created one of the
most iconic and unforgettable soundtracks of all time.
Most people could identify the movie from just a few bars
of the main title music, and Williams’ work across
all of the Star Wars movies really does create a palpable
sense of intergalactic space battles and galaxy-spanning
adventures. For many moviegoers, this is now the definitive
sound of science fiction.”
Final Top Ten:
1) Star Wars
(John Williams)
2) Star Trek
II: The Wrath of Khan (James Horner)
3) Blade Runner
(Vangelis)
4) Star Trek
the Motion Picture (Jerry Goldsmith)
5) Flash Gordon
(Queen)
6) 2001: A Space
Odyssey (Richard and Johann Strauss, György Ligeti)
7) The Day the
Earth Stood Still (Bernard Herrmann)
8) Close Encounters
of the Third Kind (John Williams)
9) Aliens (James
Horner)
10) Transformers
the Movie (Vince DiCola / Stan Bush)

Lucasfilm Animation's groundbreaking first season of
The Clone Wars blazed new trails in the Star Wars universe,
exploring worlds and stories well beyond the live-action
Skywalker saga -- but that was just the beginning. Improved
techniques and enhanced production pipelines have streamlined
the entire process, making it possible to envision the
distinctive style of the Clone Wars conflict with even
greater depth and detail. Creator George Lucas and supervising
director Dave Filoni discuss what's to come in the battle
for galactic freedom, and why audiences should expect the
unexpected from the series' second season which begins
Friday, October 2nd on Cartoon Network.
What surprises can viewers expect from the second season
of The Clone Wars?
GEORGE LUCAS: The first season was similar to Episode
IV, in that it was fairly light and the conflict was straightforward.
With the second season, we're going deeper into the stories
and the character dynamics. The progression is a lot like
the difference between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes
Back.

R2-D2
USB Humidifier!
What can't this little guy do? Pepper Shaker, Fan, Toothpaste,
Shampoo and now he also humidifies! Check out this story
posted at Technabob.com:
As we get ready for the icy grip of Winter to descend
down upon us, those of us in dryer climes could definitely
use a little extra moisture in the air to keep our brains
from drying out on us. What better way to keep your nasal
passages cozy but with an R2-D2 humidifier?
Taito is making these USB-powered desktop
R2-D2 humidifiers for the Japanese market, but the fine
folks over at NCSX have been kind enough to import these
and make them available for the rest of us for just $20.90
(USD). Each R2 unit holds about 8 ounces of water, and
sprays a fine mist into the air to keep things nice and
humid. They’re not shipping until November, but for
now you can drop off your pre-order and make sure you have
yours in time for the cold weather when it really blows
in.

Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family
at his side after facing the challenges of his illness
for the last 20 months," his publicist, Annett Wolf,
said in a statement Monday evening. Shortly after his passing
witnesses reported seeing a ghostly image Swayze walking
in a nearby forest with the late Jedi Master Yoda.
According to David Clancy of Wilton Connecticut, "I
detected a disturbance in the force around 8:45PM eastern." Clancy
the self-described Star Wars Super-fan and top US expert
on the "The Force" stated, "I was only later
that Patrick Swayze's time of death was matched to the
disturbance and the reports of his appearing with Yoda
were confirmed.
Upon hearing that Swayze joined "the Force" his
publicist, Annett Wolf, admitted that Swazye was "in
tune with the force". According to Wolf, "Patrick
used the force guide dance partners and perform incredible
feats of balance.
Super-fan Clancy speaking from his parents basement harshly criticized
Patrick Swayze for his "Misuse of his above average Miticlorean
count."
In the late 70s and early 80s, I was lucky
enough to have Star Wars toys, and I still have them in
boxes in my father’s basement. Unfortunately, several
of the action figures I owned didn’t last – their
heads popped off and more than once I lost a C-3PO in the
sand at the beach. While the action figures were the only
toys that were must-haves (which we earned for good behavior
while with our mothers at Toys ‘R’ Us), the
coolest toys generally were the big expensive sets that
we only got for our birthdays or religious holidays.

Kotaku has word from the Star Wars Galaxy
forums on MMORPG.com that Sony Online Entertainment will
close 12 SWG servers. According to a post on the SWG forums
from a SWG community manager, the closure of the servers
is the result of the successful free character transfer
program.
In the still-ongoing program users are allowed to transfer
their characters to more populated servers at no charge.
Posts on the forums are already overwhelmingly positive
about the move, but some echo that it's too little too
late for the waning community. The 12 servers (listed below)
will close on October 15th, 5 p.m. PST. Any characters
left on the closed servers will be permanently removed
from the players' account.
List of Star Wars Galaxy servers that will close on October
15th: Corbantis, Europe-Infinity, Intrepid, Kauri, Kettemoor,
Lowca, Naritus, Scylla, Tarquinas, Tempest, Valcyn & Wanderhome.
Dust off the fedora and clear out the snakes
- Indiana Jones is ready to ride again.
Harrison Ford, 67, says he's already ready for the globe-trotting
archaeologist's next adventure, only a year after one of
history's most successful film franchises was revived — and
that the next chapter is already well on its way.
"The story for the new 'Indiana Jones' is in the
process of taking form," Ford told France's Le Figaro. "Steven
Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the
fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at
work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put
the costume on again."
LucasArts President Darrell Rodriguez told GameTrailers
TV that several unannounced Star Wars games are currently
in development and that LucasArts alumni like Tim Schafer,
Dave Grossman, Ron Gilbert, & Lawrence Holland are
may be involved.
"Wouldn't it be great to work with them on some
new things?" Rodriguez teased.
Holland is probably best known from the group for his
work on X-Wing and TIE Fighter.

High Res Images of Stunt Sabers!
eFX's Star Wars Stunt Lightsaber Line are
starting to show up for pre-order at eFX directly at efxcollectibles.com as
well as authorized retailers for $99 a each with an estimated
delivery in December.
As those of you who are familiar with the
Star Wars saga know that there were two different versions
of props produced for each film. The “hero” versions
of each prop were constructed using higher quality materials
(usually metal) and would be used in close ups shots during
filming or for promotional/marketing purposes. The “stunt” sabers
were generally made out of resin and would be used by the
actors during the filming of the action and fight scenes
of the movie. Up until now these stunt sabers have been
given very little attention by the prop replica community,
but eFX has decided to honor these often forgotten “heroes” of
film making history by producing a line of high quality,
exact 1:1 replicas of the stunt sabers.
Each piece is hand painted to exacting standards and
come complete with a custom display stand and certificate
of authenticity. The first 3 stunt sabers being offered
in the series are Luke Skywalker from ROTJ, Obi-Wan Kenobi
from ROTS and Anakin Skywalker from ROTS.

Johnny Depp is a tough act to follow, so Disney Parks and
Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo brought in the heavy artillery
today to announce plans to update the Star Tours attraction
at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and Disney's Hollywood
Studios in Orlando, Fla.
Rasulo deadpanned that he had some "bad news" for
the Disneyphiles attending the D23 Expo -- Star Tours would
close in Oct 2010. On cue, Stormtroopers marched on stage
as the martial sound of John Williams' "Imperial March" played.
Darth Vader appeared on the giant screen overhead, and intoned, "The
Emperor is most displeased with plans to close Star Tours."
Rasulo said Star Tours would reopen on 2011 as a 3-D simulation
that, among other facets of the ride, recreates the pod-racing
scene from "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace." The
audience donned 3D glasses to watch a sequence, in which
the space-age vehicles veer through canyons, across the flats
and speed into the arena on Tatooine.
"If that doesn't fire you up," Rasulo said. "You're
in the wrong meeting."
When you draw R2-D2, does he look more like a watermelon

Hasbro Star Wars Q&A!
Check out the next Yodasnews Hasbro Q&A below!
YN: Since the Expanded Universe has proven to be successful
on store shelves, are there any plans to expand the TIE
fleet to include 3.75 inch scale versions of the TIE Advanced
(from the mid-90s LucasArts game "TIE Fighter")
and the TIE Defender?
Hasbro: Most any other EU-based TIE we would do (such
as TIE Defender, or TIE
Crawler) would require a substantial amount of tooling and a leap of
fiath that these would be popular enough that we could justify all
of the mew development work. We have tried out hand at a few repaint-type
EU vehicles, but these would be all new. As cool as these new TIEs
are, a number of fans still stick to on-screen appearances for their
vehicle purchases and we're hoping that the new Clone Interceptor Tank
turns enough heads to justify future continued expansions into the
EU vehicle ranks.
YN: Some early pictures of the Luminara Unduli figure
(The Clone Wars) show an error with the character's facial
tattoo. In the pics, she is sporting a zigzag line; but
in the show she has more of a "dot"configuration
on her chin. Will this error be corrected before the final
product hits the shelves?
Hasbro: Yes, and no. We checked a production piece and
while the pattern appears to be a zigzag, it is actually
composed of small dots that seems to form an illusion of
the zigzag. It's tought to get precise registration of
the dots at this fine scale.
YN: The Galactic Heroes are a huge bit with adult collectors
as well as the kids. Any chance we will see some more Episode
1 characters like Pod Racer Anakin or Watto? Or some of
the other characters, beasts and vehicles we have yet to
see like Queen Amidala (Senate), Lobot, Ughnaughts, Emperor
Palpatine (w/cane not lightsaber), Grand Admiral
Thrawn? Vehicles like the Imperial Shuttle and Anakin's Pod Racer?
Hasbro: Those are interesting ideas (especially, Thrawn,
who would be be really cool to see as a Galactic Hero with
big red Chiss eyes!). None of the characters you mentioned
are in any future pack line-up, but there are some interesting
ideas there and we will pass them on to our design team.
We will confirm that we are doing some prominent EU
figures in few packs starting next year, so the future
for expansion does look bright. Stay tuned!

The Star Wars universe has been portrayed
in a variety of different games over the years - Jedi
Knight, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, LEGO Star Wars, Knights
of the Old Republic and Star Wars Galaxies to name a
few.
But with visibility ramping up on BioWare's forthcoming
Old Republic MMO - arguably the most ambitious Star Wars
game project to-date - LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez
talks about the IP-holder's views on MMOs, business models,
digital downlads and humour in games.
Q: One of the most-anticipated titles that's under
development at the moment must be Star Wars: The Old
Republic - what are your feelings on that game?
Darrell Rodriguez: We're very excited about it - the
partnership with BioWare has been phenomenal in the past
and the way it's coming around, especially relating to
the core mechanics of a basic MMO... taking that and
then adding the story element, and story and character
development, that's something that's close to our hearts
and is really the root of all that we do.
Partnering with someone like BioWare, who is amazing
at that as well, to change the MMO genre... absolutely,
that's exciting.
Yodasnews.com reader Arno a.k.a Cam Katarn
reports in:
Last weekend eight members of the 501st Dutch Garrison
were disarmed by the Dutch Police.
During a charity event, which meaning was to cheer
up sick children, Stormtroopers of the Dutch 501st regiment
were totally surprised when a couple of Police agents
took off their E-11 Blaster rifles, because they could
be dangerous (?). According to a Police informer, the
weapons were based on former world war two weapons and
so could be use to threaten people or worst.
The eight 501st members also risk to get charged € 270,-
for modifying a toys weapon. About the Dutch Police,
I really like to quote a sarcastic Jake Lloyd here, they
are so charming and intelligent, ah awesome people!

Review:
Admiral Wullf Yularen (The Clone Wars)
One of the best things about the Star Wars universe is that
it is so full and diverse that countless back-stories and
side-stories can be spun off from it. See that partially
obscured four-eyed blue alien sitting in the corner at time
index 32:15:04? Here’s a story about the time he helped
a clone battalion find a broken hyperwave transmitter during
the Clone Wars. Or here’s the story about why a guy
is running down a hallway with something that looks like
an ice cream maker.
Or how about this: what’s the story of that white-haired,
white-uniformed Imperial officer sitting at Tarkin’s
Death Star briefing table? Clearly, this man must’ve
been around before the “Dark Times”, but what
kind of man was he? Was he a man of honor or was he like
Tarkin himself?
Thanks to The Clone Wars, Colonel Wullf Yularen’s
early military career has been shown in greater detail. Admiral
of the Republic destroyer Resolute, Yularen was a close associate
of Generals Kenobi and Skywalker during the war, and fans
can now see this character for the honorable man he was during
better days.
And thanks to Hasbro, collectors now have the younger counterpart
to the older Yularen previously released in the “Death
Star Briefing Room” figure set.
I was able to attend the "Future
of Star Wars" panel at Dragon*Con presented by Steve
Sansweet. Although it was largely a rehash of things
I've reported on in San Diego (and a large chunk of the
presentation was a filmed segment of the Clone Wars table
read from San Diego), there were a couple of interesting
tidbits.
Steve Sansweet officially acknowledged
the Live Action TV series and gave a rough timetable
and hinted strongly at a bit of casting news (though
the hint will make it constitute as rumour at best).
First: Pre-production on the show will
be starting soon and go through until the new year. The
writers have been working for a while and, according
to Sansweet, no one knows anything about the story for
sure except George Lucas, Rick McCallum and the writers.
He also gave 2012 as a reasonably firm date for seeing the project
on the air. It is a one hour format drama show and will air weekly.
As far as the casting news. An audience
member asked about Daniel Logan (who portrayed Boba Fett
in Attack of the Clones) and his possible participation
in the show reprising his role. Sansweet remained cryptic,
reminded everyone that no major casting deals have been
made with anyone but said (and I quote), "A couple
of years ago Rick McCallum said that he would consider
it, and I would expect news from Daniel's camp in the
not-too-distant future." He didn't say what that
news would be, but it seemed to me to insinuate that
he was the front runner for the part. Which would please
me.
He also reminded the audience that anything
other than what he told us today that anyone read on
the Internet was probably not true.
So, here we are with the straight dope,
right from the horses mouth.

With BioWare hard at work on Star Wars:
The Old Republic, it seemed as if Sony's history with
Star Wars MMOs would be just that -- history. But now
according to a rumor floated by Ten Ton Hammer (via Shacknews),
it looks like Sony Online Entertainment might not end
with Star Wars Galaxies. An "insider source" says
SOE is preparing to build a new casual-centric Star Wars
MMO, most likely based on the Clone Wars animated series.
Ten Ton Hammer reports that this anonymous
source confirmed this rumor at PAX, where they said SOE
will likely use the engine from their popular browser-based
MMO FreeRealms to create the new game. Considering the
engine it'll be using, and since it'll be set in the
Clone Wars timeframe, it's likely that the game will
be based on the stylized look of the Clone Wars animated
series. And since the game will be built with a focus
on attracting more casual gamers, it's unlikely it'll
be positioned as a direct competitor to BioWare's highly
anticipated The Old Republic.
It all sounds believable enough, especially since LucasArts
already has another Clone Wars-based game in development
at Krome Studios. Still, as usual with rumors, we'll
reserve any final judgment until LucasArts or Sony makes
it easy for us, and confirms the news themselves.

Designed by Ubrikkian Transports, made by
the LEGO Group, built by you!
Picture yourself crossing a tranquil azure sea on a
trading barque, its hold packed full of rum and sugar.
The deck
rises and falls to the gentle swell created by the balmy
wind that fills the sails, and all around are palm-covered
islands ringed by golden beaches. The course is set, the
crew competently going about their duties and all those
on board are looking forward to an uneventful journey home.
On the horizon you see a dot which slowly grows into a
ship. Suddenly the lookout in the crow's nest cries out "Pirates!" and
the captain calls for all hands to their stations. Your
ship still has a handful of minutes to make ready before
the corsair vessel is in cannon range, but without any
warning it opens fire and the air is filled with lurid
green beams of light.
Hold on a second - wrong LEGO theme! These pirates are
a devious and deceitful band of marauders from the planet
Florrum, and in the lawless Outer Rim their vehicle of
choice is a heavily modified and powerful pirate tank.
The new Pirate Tank set is one of the first to be based
on one of the brand new Clone Wars vehicles, and though
it is less familiar with fans, the LEGO Group always strives
for precision. Because the set was developed as the Clone
Wars series was being made there were limited references
for the Star Wars team to use. But did they let that slow
them down? No they did not, and now LEGO Star Wars fans
can play out the crucial capture of Count Dooku.

Q & A
Session with Gentle Giant Ltd.
The team from Gentle Giant Ltd. was again kind enough to
answer a bunch of questions GentleGiantCollectors.com members
had.
They also let us know a few tidbits that have not been announced
beforehand! Some things that were answered were:
With the low editions (like for 4-LOM) and some other upcoming
busts, does GG still guarantee the preorders for their PG
Members?
When is the Magma Trooper shipping?
When is a new image for the awesome Bantha coming? Would
love to see the base choice as well as the other Tusken!
Can you give us more info about the 10/1 Collection of the
Year?
Do you plan to be at Star Wars Celebration 5 and if so,
any exclusives you can let us know about?
All these questions, and many more, can be read by clicking

Stacy Davidson is
a Star Wars fan with a dream. She is in the process of creating
something that has never existed - a true Star Wars 2-D adventure
game. Titled Han Solo Adventures, the game is a non-commercial
labor of love for Ms. Davidson. According to her site for
the game:
"
Han Solo Adventures is an interactive fan fiction game (I
like to think of it as "fan powered!"), in the
tradition of the classic graphic adventure games of the 80's
and 90's. This is a project I have embarked upon purely for
my own enjoyment, and for the love of two things: classic
adventure games and Star Wars! Although the stories will
be fairly original, loosely based on available background
information on Han and his early exploits, you can expect
game play similar to classic LucasArts titles, namely Indiana
Jones and the Fate of Atlantis by Hal Barwood. "
The game features the SCUMM™ engine and appears wonderous
in all its low-res glory. Make sure to head over to the site
to watch the short trailer Stacy has put together.

Disney
buys Marvel: Let the Theme Park Wars Begin!
It's no surprise in this economy that
the few companies with ready cash are acquiring new properties
at recession-special prices. Disney, for one, has decided
to expand its base by purchasing Marvel Entertainment.
The company that has long painted itself as American as
apple pie is now the home of Captain America—as well
as Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the entire stable of Marvel
characters.
Disney is no stranger
to integrating sci-fi and pop culture characters into its
own brand. It has had a close relationship with George
Lucas for years. And the re-imagining of Mickey and his
crew as Star Wars characters has been a geek's dream. Disney's
Star Wars weekends at its theme parks have been extremely
popular, and have provided a forum for Lucas to keep his
brand in the public eye as well.
What makes this story particularly interesting is that
on the other side of town from Disney's theme parks in
Orlando, is a theme park owned by Universal…which
happens to feature characters licensed from Marvel. So
what fate will befall Universal's Islands of Adventure?
We find it hard to believe that Universal will gladly hand
over a licensing check to Disney for visitors to its own
theme park. But would Islands of Adventure maintain its
appeal if the roller coasters got a fresh coat of paint
and had "generic" themes? And was this a calculated
move by Disney to put Universal in its cross-hairs, or
just a well-time acquisition of a marketable property?
