8/7/2006 - Summary of Discussions with

Ray Park and Daniel Logan

Daniel Logan (Wizard World Chicago)

You know him as Boba Fett from Attack of the Clones, Daniel Logan, took time out of his busy schedule to make a free appearance at Wizard World Chicago this year. Daniel’s mother, two sisters, and brother live back in New Zealand while he is stationed in L.A.. He was there to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans for a charity that supports the awareness of Tissue and Organ Donation.

When we sat down with Daniel, it was apparent from the start that he was a real down to earth individual that enjoys life. This is Daniel’s second convention for the year. He loves attending because of the fans and the conversations he has with them at the show. Although not thrilled to have an action figure made after himself because he thinks it is a little strange, Daniel thanks Lucasfilm for the opportunity he had working on Star Wars and truly appreciates the stardom it has brought him.

When asked about future projects, he stated that he does have some things in the pipeline but could not disclose those at this time. Could this possibly lead to some Star Wars TV Series action? Only time will tell as Daniel was not allowed to disclose any future endeavors, as hard as Mike (Maxattack) tried to get some details.

At least for now, Daniel wants to sit back and enjoy life being a kid and not grow up too fast. During his free time he plays Rugby and enjoys hanging out with friends. Daniel used to be heavy into motocross bikes but had to quit due to an accident that nearly took his life. He listens to all different types of music including 2 pac, ub40, and classics.

Once again we thank Daniel for his time and for the great cause that he is supporting!

Ray Park (Wizard World Chicago)

Grobo and I had a great opportunity to ask a few questions from the man behind the Sith, Ray Park. He was extremely easy to talk to and very eager to tell us a little about himself.

Ray attends around 4-5 conventions a year and this weekend was his seventh time visting the Windy City. He really enjoys meeting the fans and interacting with everyone of all ages.

A big part of Ray's life is spent donating his time to different charities that support awareness for organ and tissue donation. He very much enjoys taking the time to visit children in hospitals, bringing along his trusty lightsaber. When asked if he ever shows up in his Darth Maul costume, he simply replied, "No, I don't want to scare them." Both Ray and Daniel (Boba Fett) Logan were at the convention and both Star Wars actors take time to support this cause. We wish them luck in the future.

From seeing Ray's moves as Darth Maul in Episode I. you can certainly see that he is very athletic and able to pull off some incredible looking stunts. Some of Ray's jobs have included being a physical education teacher and also a martial arts teacher. He really likes to work with children and enjoys training them to become mini-Mauls.

When we brought up the question about his future projects, we just had to ask if Lucas approached him for any new roles in the upcoming Star Wars television series. Ray humbly (and eagerly) replied, "not yet!" Ray is very willing to help out in the Star Wars universe and we hope to see him on a future television episode, so please call him George. Ray is working on a project with Dark Horse Comics that involves a character that will appear in a new comic book and possibly a t.v. show. This should definitely be something that all Ray Park fans should look forward to. Ray also has a very interesting DVD coming out with Master Replicas. It is a training session covering all the lightsaber moves that every Sith (and even Jedi) should know. Look for your Master Replicas lightsaber training DVD starring Ray Park this fall!

Ray Park has truly made his mark in Star Wars history. Some fans might have wanted him to survive a little longer, including Ray, but we will always remember the horns, the red and black markings and the amazing lightsaber battles that Ray helped bring to life into the Star Wars universe.
