Yesterday, my hunt for a particular magazine ended up taking me to a book/comic/collectibles store across the street from where I occasionally work. I didn't find the magazine in question (which means I'll be doing a desparation drive over the mountains tomorrow), but I did find a few figures that sparked my interest. Sticker shock compelled me not buy at the time, however this morning I did a little comparison shopping at Amazon and ebay. That, in turn, took me back across the street where I picked up Tree Trunk, Spacetrooper, and Shock Tree for $14.99 each. That means I have all the build-a-droid parts for BG-J38 except for his head. That comes with Jacen Solo (who I don't have and didn't find) or Obi-Wan - which they did have, but I didn't really want. Obi's bubble was crushed anyway. I won't pay $15 for a crushed bubble.
However, I did pay an extra $39.99 for the Death Star Briefing set from a few years back. It's been on the shelf in that store for a while now. I remember seeing it back when it had just been released. At the time I was holding out for an Entertainment Earth clearance sale - which did occur, but I thought it would go lower than the $25 EE had it at, so I held off ... and it went out of stock never to return (much like those EE-exclusive Mandalorian packs).
So, that's a few more holes filled in the collection. _________________ "we're mild and green ... and squeaky clean" |

Ah, but I have some fun plans for it. We'll see if it works out. |
