So, here's where we can chat about all things SDCC, as it relates to TCW. The convention runs from July 12th though July 15th.
The only thing I am truly wanting to learn about is the fate of General Krell. Back in December, Hasbro announced that they had plans to make him; but there has not been a peep from them about this figure ever since. I would love to learn more about the fate of this awesome character. |

| So far, there has not been a single thing mentioned about anything related to The Clone Wars. This is a little alarming. |

From Galactic Hunter's Twitter feed:
know pong krell popularity with fans. will find way to get him out there. (7/12/2012, 1:38PM)
clone wars still be strongly supported especially with last 2 seasons. (7/12/2012, 1:41PM)
update no spider maul for this year. there will be another maul besides battle pack but Spider version is too big. (7/12/2012, 12:50PM) |

I've heard that Filoni & Co. are already writing for season six. I think that he said as much on his Facebook page. |

Here are a few snippets from GH's coverage of Hasbro's panel:
CLONE WARS
Commander Fox will be the last Clone Wars figure for 2012. Hasbro does plan on continuing to strongly support the series and releasing 20+ figures in 2013.
There is no arachnid Darth Maul planned for release at the present time due to the size of the figure, but General Pong Krell is very much in their radar. Another Maul is slated for release outside the Target battle pack version. We think Spidey Maul is a perfect piece for an exclusive.

Who knows when the show will end? At this point, it's all speculation. |

When The Clone Wars does wrap up, I would love to see the same team tackle a different era in the same animation style. _________________

When the show began, I read somewhere that the show was slated to run for at least five seasons. That way, it would be able to hit that 100-episode mark which insures a shot at syndication. And, later, as we approached the break between the fourth and fifth seasons, I read something about a sixth season; and I think (don't quote me on this) that Filoni said that he will keep making the show as long as he is able to. But I have not heard anything about what will happen to the show beyond season six (and at this stage, why would we hear anything about it, right?).

I have loved the animation style from the beginning; and I think that the animators have gotten really good at their game. But I still loathe the outfits worn by Obi-Wan and Anakin early in the series - I much prefer their season three/season four digs. And I am right on board with your proposal. If the animation team (they're in Singapore, right?) were to cover a different era, such as the post-ROTS, pre-ANH period, then I would be on board for every episode (and every action figure!). |

Based on these pictures, I would say that Maul does not have wrist articulation:

That's the beauty of it all: you can choose your Star Wars. As I have written before, I do not consider this animated series to be canonical (despite what LFL might say about it); but I sure think it is one awesome show, and I cannot wait for each new episode to air. The animation is superb, and the storytelling is, at times, equally superb. And at this stage, I am far more interested in the figures from this show than I am in the figures from the movies. |
