I am stoked for all of them! That Bespin Vader! So cool! Ceremony Luke with a decent head sculpt?!? Biggs?!? Rex?!? A super nice A-Wing Pilot?!? We may not be getting any TVC, but as long as what we do get stays this good, I will sure be happy  |

It's a strong wave, for sure, Ridge. And being a fan of The Clone Wars, I am now kinda curious to see what Hasbro is going to do with these realistic crossovers. I did not used to feel this way, for sure! But after seeing the slim offerings in the animated line, I have been "forced" to change my tune about it (and I believe that this is what Hasbro wants from adult collectors).
Here is a tidbit from Galactic Hunter, in their coverage of the Hasbro panel at CVI (emphasis mine):
Captain Rex is a realistic take on the 2008 Clone Wars cartoon armor, and seems to use a mix of existing parts and many many new ones..."Captain Rex is symbolic of something we hope to do," DePriest said, referring to capturing a Clone Wars figure in realistic style in pretty much every wave. |

my only concern about this is that they give us a good selection. I dont want to see figures coming out in the clone wars line, like krell for example, then never coming out in this line. I hope hasbro does this right and brings us some nice figures.

Let me see if I understand: if a figure is offered in the animated line, then you also want it offered in the realistic line? All of them? From 2008 until now? Or just from this point forward?
I am pretty sure that the door has all but closed on seeing fan-favorite characters appear in the animated line. Barring some kickass surprises (and I am expecting at least a few here and there), fan-favorite characters will show up in the realistic line only. But I imagine it will take a while before we start seeing some of the more obscure characters from the animated show appear as realistic figures, since Hasbro is going to spend quite a few waves churning out the core characters first. |
