This is generally the first thing that pops into my head whenever somebody posts the results of a great hunt and/or a rare find. |

Best phone call to my TRU just now, officially on hold for me:
-Ewok Pack
-Pilot Pack
+ **x2 speeder bike's if they have. She said she would grab them for me if she saw them when going back to retrieve the Pilot pack.
You know what this means? I finally caught a sale/ promotion! I almost spent $85 on the two sets shipped off of eBay just last night! But I thought I should check before spending more than I have to, and boy did it pay off! I am ecstatic right now Happy collector I am |

Thanks! I may just fill out the survey for the employee who not only gathered my items and put them on hold, but who also was very helpful at checkout as well. I am actually feeling inclined to complete a TRU survey. No speeder bikes but a happy collector I am non the less:

Secured on eBay:
-Kmart Ewok 2 Pack
-Kmart AT-ST 2 Pack
If/When someone knows the retail on these please do tell so I know exactly how far I got bent over, thanks
**14.99 before tax, ouch! I figured I overpaid badly but, not that badly. I saved some money on the TRU sets last week so I guess it will all balance out. |

We all know it has been a tough year collecting. I personally can recall overpaying on several occasions and am still feeling the pain. But there is hope and proof that it pays to wait. I often talk about purchasing from eBay user: dorksidetoys. They now have their own store and the clearance section( http://www.dorksidetoys.com/clearance/?sort=featured&page=1 ) has some of the more rare hard to come by figures both loose and unpunched are the same price! Examples:
Star Wars Vintage Bom Vindim Solo VC53 UNPUNCHED
$3.99
Star Wars Vintage Barriss Offee VC51 UNPUNCHED
$5.00
(Army build anyone?)
Star Wars Vintage Collection Battle Droid VC78 UNPUNCHED
$6.99
Star Wars Vintage Collection Wedge Antillies VC28 UNPUNCHED
$6.99
Just trying to help those who missed out earlier and please share if you know of even better pricing! |

From what I've read, Kmart is selling them for $14.99.
By the way, there are some recent waves of Vintage and Clone Wars figures over at hasbrotoyshop.com. For example, Darth Malgus is $9.99. _________________ "we're mild and green ... and squeaky clean" |

I got the two sets for $40, which included shipping. I got them from a collector over at JediDefender. |

Went over the mountains to the slimy mudhole that is Portland to see Garbage. As the show didn't start until 8pm, I used the bulk of the day (and all of the following) to hunt. This is what I captured...
BASIC FIGURES
MH13 Jar Jar Binks
CW13 Captain Rex
CW17 Clone Commander Wolffe
CW18 Clone Commander Fox
VC82 Daultay Dofine
VC84 Queen Amidala
VC85 Quinlan Vos (Adam Ant called. He wants his stripe back.)
LL06 Darth Vader
HASBRO EXCLUSIVES
Speederbike With Scout Trooper (Toys R Us)
Yavin Pilot Pack (Toys R Us)
Ewok Pack (Toys R Us) (I picked up two, as the ewoks come with two unique hoods apiece.)
Special Action Figure Set (Droid Set) (Target)
Scout Walker (AT-ST) (Kmart)
LEGO
9493 X-wing Starfighter (My second. It comes with pilot figures of Luke & Porkins and I want to be able to build a ship for each.)
9509 2012 Advent Calendar
9525 Pre Visla's Mandalorian Fighter (Walmart & shop.lego.com exclusive)
9526 Palpatine's Arrest (Toys R Us & shop.lego.com exclusive)
Thoughts:
* Saw two roadkills, while driving. One deer. One racoon.
* There is a lot of road construction in Oregon right now. Everywhere. In every town I drove through and even over the mountain passes.
* I stopped in at seven different Kmarts. They all had the Walker but none of the two-packs.
* One Kmart was closing and had placed the entire store on clearance. They didn't have much in the way of Star Wars, but I did see a few POTJ figures hanging on the pegs including Battle Droid (boomer damage), Han Solo (Bespin capture), Scout Trooper (Imperial patrol - dirty version) and one or two others that I can't recall. I'm sure someone stashed them under an aisle ten years ago and forgot they were there. They were 25% off the marked price of $9.99. If they had been $3 or less, I might have considered adding the Biker Scout and/or the Battledroid to my collection.
* I stopped at 8 Targets, most had 2 or 3 of the Droid Set, but none of the Villain Set. Oddly, I'm not the least bit dismayed by this as I feel certain it will be abundant as the holiday season gets into gear.
* I stopped at at least a dozen Fred Meyers. They were all chock FULL of the Malgus wave of vintage and the Cmdr. Fox wave of Clone Wars. * Oddly, I didn't see Scuba Ahsoka or Commando Boss anywhere. Perhaps they are part of a different assortment while still being a part of the wave?
* I didn't see the Republic Dropship ("deluxe figure) anywhere, despite reports of it showing up at Targets and Kmarts.
* I also didn't see (and have yet to see) the Ankakin and Vader figures of the Movie Heroes line with the light-up sabers.
* R5-D5 (Target Droids) and R5-D8 (TRU Rebel Pilots) look nearly identical.
* I saw a smattering of the Lost Line figures (on both LL and Vintage cards) at Kmart and in abundance at Toys R Us. I only picked up Vader though.
* I stopped at five different Walmarts in search of the LEGO Mando Fighter. I saw the Hasbro MTT at two of them. Never-the-less, the Walmart experience has not changed. I feel sullied. And unusual. _________________ "we're mild and green ... and squeaky clean" |

Just got home from a road trip to San Diego. We stayed in Las Vegas on the way there and the way home. A stop into a Toys R Us just a few blocks off the strip yielded a Bespin Leia and the Clone Lieutenant in the alternate packaging. The buy-1-get-1 sale was a welcome surprise. |

Picked up Dr. Evazan at Shop-Ko this afternoon. $11.99. Ouch.
Which reminds me, if one were to bite the bullet and pay-through-the-nose for the online exclusive final vintage wave, where might one find it for $120 (or less)? A quick look just now only shows it available at Entertainment Earth - for $132 (plus shipping, I assume). _________________ "we're mild and green ... and squeaky clean" |
