What do you guys think of the upcomming droid factory figures? I personally think this is a good way to get the pilots and their R2 units for all the starfighters. What do you all think? |

The basic Legacy figures will have a droid part packed in where if you collect a certain number you can build a droid, simalar to the marvel legends line.Wal-Mart will have the first wave as exclusives.

Cool, as long as they fit together well. Some of the Marvel Legends stuff does not fit well. _________________ Star Wars Space check it out! |

I really can't understand why they are putting figures like Han and Vader in these packs? It is a droid set right? Maybe they didn't think they'd sell well without a major character?
I wonder if they'll have a playset like the vintage factory?

I don't know if I like the fact the droid you assemble looks like C-3PO. Could have done something better. _________________ Star Wars Space check it out! |

I can't wait.
I plan to collect only a few of them; just for the r2 units and their pilots for their starfighters.

I think the 'Droid Factory' is a cool new gimick!
I really hope you can mix and match the Droid parts though! I'd love to make my own protocol droid with parts from all the other droid factory protocol droids. _________________ END COMMUNICATION |

That is the general idea. Being able to mix and mathc your build a figures. I think it will be a cool idea to get some customs. _________________ Dave

I read the news over at the Hasbro website as well and do not like a few things about the Droid Factory line now. First being the figures that the droids are bundled with for the C-3PX BAF and second that you need to buy six sets for the one BAF droid. Why couldn't Hasbro put the head and torso in one, both arms in a second and finally both legs for a third set or include the pieces in basic figures. I assume the price will be $9.99 like the Order 66 2-packs |

I really like this idea and will try to be getting them all.
Love the idea of the "build-a-figure" - it opens it up for more, larger "build-a-figure" figures and/or scenes/dioramas. |

THe first wave is a Wal-Mart exclusive and is $9.99. The remaining waves later on are also supposed to be $9.99. _________________ Dave

$9.99 is not that bad for 2 and 1/4 figures considering 1 is $6.63-6.99. |
