Actor Michael Sheard, best known for playing teacher Mr Bronson in
long-running children's TV drama Grange Hill in the 1980s, has died aged 65.
Sheard gained wider fame as Admiral Ozzel in 1980 Star Wars film The Empire
Strikes Back. His other films included Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
-one of a string of appearances as Adolf Hitler - and he was a regular guest
in Doctor Who. His agent said he had cancer and died at home on the Isle of
Wight.

Not really, but it seems like it. Hot on the heals of
StarWarsShop.com's announcement for their exclusive Covert Ops Clone
Trooper, and
Hasbro's Clone Attack on Coruscant Battle Pack, comes the first sighting
of the Target exclusive Utapau Shadow Trooper in
this auction on eBay.
Hasbro's website is now showcasing several current an upcoming battle packs.
You will have to do some hunting for some of these, since they are
exclusives. Target will have the Clone Attack on Coruscant, K-Mart the Jedi
Temple Assault and Imperial Throne room, and Toys R Us is carrying the
Assault on Hoth.

Licensing recently unveiled the new product look for Star Wars goods in 2006.
The new design builds on familiar elements from the '05 collection, such
as the prominence of Darth Vader -- the character whose redemption is now
clearly at the heart of the saga. Gone is the lava and orange hue, replaced
with a more timeless silver lettering and planetary view.

20th Century Fox and LucasFilm will release Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge
of the Sith, expected to be one of the season’s top sellers, on DVD only.
Star Wars will be the first major new release to skip VHS, some say a move
that is unsurprising because of its heavy DVD audience. Distribution sources
said recent Star Wars releases have seen heavy VHS returns from retailers
unable to sell off the tapes. LucasFilm and Fox declined to comment other
than to confirm that there would be no VHS version.

Today several reports came in from readers who were spotting the new clone
variants all over. From TRU to Kohls and Boscovs. Reports came in from PA,
NJ, AZ and CA. All of reports indicated a large number of the Black Clone
Pilot and smaller numbers of the ShockTrooper and others, but from the wide
area of the reports, it looks like the larger scale distribution has begun!

Brock Peters (who played Lord Darth Vader in the Star Wars Radio Drama) and
was best known for his heartbreaking performance as the black man falsely
accused of rape in "To Kill a Mockingbird," died Tuesday at his home after
battling pancreatic cancer. He passed away yesterday at 78. May

in large numbers along with the New Blue Obi Starfighter. We had 3 reports
today of folks finding them and I also found them when I went to my local TRU

will consist of a pre-determined list of Expanded Universe characters and the
announcement hinted at the possibility of Mara Jade and/or Jaina Solo being

Now that 'Star Wars' is done, filmmaker on to other things LOS ANGELES,

Think George Lucas is going to take it easy now that he's completed his
final "Star Wars" trilogy? Think again. Lucas revealed Monday that he wants
to bring the wonders of 3-D animation to Asia, produce television shows much
more cheaply than the rest of the industry, and make sure that his Industrial
Light and Magic (ILM) effects house doesn't lose its famed camaraderie and
creative spunk. "I put all of my resources into pushing the evolution in an
industry that is notoriously backwards and I enjoy pushing that envelope,"
Lucas told an audience of thousands during an hourlong Q&A at the Siggraph
computer graphics confab at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
