Our friends from Hyperspace Japan let us know that Blister.jp has just put up the monochrome version of the Leia & R2-D2 animated maquette for pre-order on their site. Just like the monochrome Boba Fett animated maquette, Leia & R2-D2 have an edition size of 500, with 250 pieces to be distributed by Blister.jp in Japan, and the remaining 250 through an as yet unknown source.

Yodasnews.com reader Rudy reports in with some interesting finds: Hi, I have found and bought these at Wal Mart in Laredo Texas. But I want to know if they are factory mistake or variants. Jedi vs Darth Sidious Battle Pack (Mace Comes with Green Lightsaber) and Sith Lord Attack Battle Pack (Obi Wan, comes with no left arm and no lightsaber)!
If you have any info on these be sure to let us know! These was sealed boxes!

I have enclosed Pictures of what I have found. There was a set of five that costs 3.99 that are made really cheap and looks bad too that I did not get. There was also Stockings of Vader and Yoda. So keep your eyes out for them all.
Pictures below are Dashboard Driver and they talk when you push a button or with motion on the car dashboard. Selling for $ 6.99 each from Target. Next are Ornaments (there is one missing of R2-D2 that the box was ruined), and are selling for $6.99 each from Target! Also is a Hand Crafted Fabriche' of Yoda. Selling for $ 14.99 from Target and a Hand Crafted Fabriche' of Darth Vader selling at $ 9.99 from Target, the MPire Sets are from K-Mart and sell for $ 9.99 each and then 2 Musical Water Globes they sell for $ 14.99 each from Target.

R2DToys.com has posted some new 30th Anniversary Battlepacks up for pre-order, with photos to go along with them! We get the first glimpse of the Capture of Tantative IV, Battle of Geonosis, and Jedi Training on Dagobah battlepacks. It looks like these "new" battle packs are made up of rehashed figures, in very stylized and neat presentations.

Yodasnews.com Reader Twist reports in: Tulsa, Oklahoma saw in store a display with 4 snowspeeders, Had at least numerious Kit Fisto starfighters and were putting battle packs with the display (not Mace Windu battle pack). This happened on Thursday Oct. 12, 2006. We have three Targets and one is a Super Target but the one with the display was just a regular Target. Just for your info the Super Targets do not get the latest and greatest.

First off, Sideshow Toys shows us a new way to look at Mace Windu in their Behind the Show section. You will never look at Mace in the same way, or the guy who wrote it, either! Oct. 20th at 10 am PST is the next pre-order for the Rebel Commando Sergeant, limited to only 3,200, but due to bundles and international distributor sales, only 650 will be available. The edition size for the Rebel Commando Infantry soldier has also been set at 4,500. Do you wanna see what Asajj Ventress will look like? Well, so do the rest of us, but for now we did get a little tease preview from the guys over at Sideshow Toys. Have you been holding out on Han? Premium Format, that is. Looks like Blister will get another very small edition Gentle Giant exclusive. The monochrome Boba Fett animated maquette will have an edition size of 500, 250 of which will be distributed through Blister in Japan. At the moment, it is unclear how and where the remaining 250 will be distributed, but we can assume it will be from Gentle Giant direct.
So you missed out on Darth Maul 1:1 bust - well hurry you may be able to score one from Sideshow - they have just 3 left! If you wanted the Endor soldiers bundle - then don't forget the wait list. Or if you just want the soldier individually then the next Endor Soldier - the Commando Sargeant is up for preorder Oct. 20th at 10 am PST. From StarWars.com: The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California has awarded Lucasfilm Ltd. $20 million in damages in a copyright infringement and unfair competition case against the British firm Shepperton Design Studios and its owner, Andrew Ainsworth.
The court found that Shepperton Design Studios had been marketing unlicensed copies of stormtrooper helmets and costumes, and TIE fighter pilot helmets from the Star Wars films, as well as making misleading claims about the authenticity and origins of these items. The judgment, by U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner, awards damages to Lucasfilm Ltd. for copyright infringement, unfair competition and trademark infringement and permanently bars Shepperton Design Studios from copying, reproducing, importing, licensing, marketing or displaying any of its unauthorized Star Wars products in the United States. Lucasfilm is also pursuing legal action against Shepperton in the U.K., where the company is based, to ensure that the judgment is enforced there.

Gentle Giant reveeals the edition sizes for some of their upoming Star Wars products. The Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight mini bust has been set to 6500, the new Jango Fett mini bust to 9000, the Animated C-3PO and Jawa maquette will be 4500, as will the Animated Luke Skywalker maquette, and there wil only be 3000 Han Solo on Tauntaun statues. Posted over at the forums of gentlegiantcollectors.com and sourced back to one of our affiliates in France, Mintinbox.net, comes the first image of what we assume is a new release coming in 2007 from Gentle Giant of Obi Wan Kenobi sporting the Sir Alec likeness! After Return of the Jedi there was a long time where I would not admit he was dead. In my mind, when he went into the Sarlacc pit he fixed his jetpack and flew out 10 minutes later and we just didn't see it. It was like having to admit Santa didn't exist."

StarWarsShop.com has just put two new, intersting items up for pre-sale: a Lego Darth Vader Maquette and a Lego Stormtrooper Maquette. These are about 6" tall each and are set for a February 2007 release. StarWarsShop.com states these items were shaped by artisans from Gentle Giant (but not produced by GG and not part of the GG line) and feature removable, interchangeable heads.

Coming out in January 2007, Hasbro will release the 1st wave of the 30th Anniversary figures. The first wave will be Revenge of the Sith and include: Galactic Marine, Mustafar Lava Worker, R2D2, Obi-wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Clone Trooper, Super Battle Droid, and lastly the McQuarrie Signature Series #1 Stormtrooper. You Can't Stop the Signal: More New Serenity Stuff Much to the delight of the legions of Browncoats (aka Serenity fans) we continue to get more new Serenity merchandise. Just as the weather is starting to get a bit chilly and you were trying to find something warm to wear we found some Serenity zip-up hooded sweatshirts for you! From CNN.com: The series is set during the time when the Republic is fighting a civil war against separatists led by Count Dooku... The show is planned as a continuation of the Emmy-winning "Clone Wars" that aired in 25 episodes on the Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2005. That series used limited animation. The new version will use 3-D computer graphics.

Mousedroid.com has received the following notice from Hasbro Australia regarding changes to the Lucas Stormtrooper VOTC Redemption:
"Due to the difficulty of finding vintage Scout Troopers, among others, at retail, Hasbro are relaxing the criteria that consumers send in one of each of the five vintage figures to complete the offer for the George Lucas in Stormtrooper disguise mail-in figure. Effective immediately, consumers may send in a mix of ANY five stickers from eligible figures. Australian Certificates completed as such will be honored.”
Please note, unlike the US promotion you must still complete the Australian Certificate that is only available with the Luke X-wing Pilot VOTC Figure. A big thumbs up to Hasbro Australia for listening to the local collectors concerns.
